The call came in, I picked it up, and said Hello. I could hear background noise that sounded like a call center and said, "Hello?" again. Didn't get a response so I hung up. Pretty Sketchy.

I had the same experience. Got the call twice and both the times nobody answered. When I called back it said they were closed for the day.

I just pick up these types of calls and instantly hang up on them.
Seems to work.

It would make sense if this was Artech. I have a resume on Monster.com and often get calls from people w/ an Indian accent. Since Artech boasts that they're a major outsourcer, I suspect they're calling from India. They have a very annoying script and can be very bossy.

Um.  Artech is not a scam.  I got an amazing short-term contract with IBM through them...100% telecommute and they sent me a brand new IBM laptop.  definitely not a scam, I have the pay stubs to prove it! lol

it seems to be a job recruiter that will apply for your second mortgage after you give them your data and SS#. Yeap,, lets go for it, suckers!

I just got the call from this number.  It was a job recruitment call (I've posted on several sites).  No personal questions were asked (such as SSN). All that was asked was stuff that was on my resume already anyway, plus some info like when I could start a new job.  I don't know if it was a scam or not.

I got a call from this number and I could barely understand the girl I was talking to and I typically can talk to people with strong accents. It was extremely difficult to understand what she was saying and I'm not entirely sure what she wanted from me but it sounded like a job recruiting agency.

Seemed somewhat sketchy to me, the number has a NJ area code.

Artech got me a job with Sprint about 2 years ago and I was making great money through them. I never had any problems with them at all. They do have Indian accents and it's hard to understand them but it is a legit business. The telephone number I used to get in touch with them is 973-993-9383.

I'm thinking that all the people posting good things really are employees but not ones that they've helped. You all sound like you're trying to convince us how great they are until we get screwed over. I received a phone call from them and they demanded my ssn. I called AT&T(my service provider) to report this number and they informed me that this company is a SCAM. I believe them.

I am currently working a long-term contract assignment with Artech since July 1, 2009. It is a legitimate business. TRUST ME, I have the pay stubs to prove it and I also am getting full benefits with medical insurance included. It is a minority-owned women based business and the founder is an Indian woman so naturally most of the employess are Indian also. As some people mentioned above, there tone seems a bit pushy I have learned that's the culture and the nature of the business. Most of these recruiters are paid a commission based on client placement. I do think there customer service could be better but given these HARD ECONOMIC TIMES, I am grateful they contacted me about a job because I have yet to  obtain a full-time job in over a year. DON'T KNOCK IT UNTIL YOU TRY IT!

You have no idea how desperate and unconvincing this is do you? LOL What a scamming scumbag!

To pants on fire - I am not a scamming scumbug. I am professional woman who has been doing consulting work for the last 2 years. It may sound desperate to you but it may help someone else. I know I scam when I see one so I have nothing to lie about! Everyone has a right to their own opinion and that's fine if you dont believe me. Just watch what you say and get the facts because slander will get you no where buddy!!!!
