Dean Schneyer from Kronos (human capital software) wanted to speak with an executive last week.  I asked twice what the call was in reference to, and twice he repeated his request.  Next, I explained that executives' calls must be screened and inquired whether he was introducing his company.  He said, "Is it possible?"  Thinking I'd heard wrong, I reiterated my statement, but his reply was the same.  I asked him to clarify his query, and he responded, "I just answered your question."  Tired of the doubletalk, I said, "No, you didn't, sir."  He hung up after deciding to phone back another time, which he just did.  I told him that the person was unavailable and offered to take a message, but he chose to try again later and hung up while I was in mid-sentence.  I've got news for you, pal -- nothing's changing between now and then!  Besides, your intended target doesn't even handle workforce management.  Obviously, you're fishing with any name you can find, like others of your ilk.

Man wanted a facility manager who is not at this location.  I asked what in reference to; he repeated the staffer's name.
I replied that calls were screened; he inquired whether the person was on-site.  I said that we don't give out employee information; he requested the number.  I reiterated the policy; he hung up.  Next !
