Phone call regarding a promise to lower my credit card interest rate. I promptly hung up.

Got the same call as everyone else, offer to lower my interest rate on a non-existent credit card.

Of course since I did not recognize the number I let it go to voicemail.

Just called me 15 minutes ago.  Caller ID says Mid East bakery. This is a scam to get you to reveal your cc #.  They are actually pretty good and don't ask for it right away.  Where do you report clowns like these?

Just called....caller ID says Mid East Bakery...like I would eat any of their stuff. Just pressed the ZAPPER button and it shut up.

Credit card scam to lower my interest rate. They hung up on me when I asked them to remove my number.

I got the same call on my cell phone while overseas. On the iPhone, you can block callers....this has been done

hang-up call.  the only saving grace: when they're running this scam, they're probably not out on the streets, robbing people of their iphones and wallets.  prisons here are full to overcrowding, so if it keeps them off the streets, I don't mind.

I happened to pick up the phone, as I was expecting another call; however, as I looked at the caller ID, I saw Mid East Bakery. Someone started speaking about and account. I just hung up immediately and blocked that area code and prefix. Since it is from some strange area code anyway, combined with the person starting to talk about accounts, I already know that this is just another scam, where huckster attempt to defraud people of their money. The most attention that those phonies will get from me is my hanging up on them. I also report them and post blogs, such as at this stir, to warn others.

I Don't have a Credit Card and they don't know that

Said they were calling on behalf of my credit card company (without naming the company). Said that everything was all right with my account, but to press 1 to find out how to lower my interest rate. Called twice before without leaving a message.

Didn't answer the call. They didn't leave a message.  But thanks to you all I know what it was. Scamming idiots.

Second call today from a scammer. When they talked about my credit card I told them that I was 17 (I'm not) and that I was too young to have a credit card I got an "uuuuuummmmm" and then they hung up. The first call I pretended that I couldn't speak English. They also hung up.

Another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers in their attempts to rip us off. Google my name to learn how to stop their annoying calls, while also having some fun!

Got the same phone call but I never answered,  Same day got a $1000 charge out of country on my credit card.

Called, left no message.  Caller ID says Mid East Bakery.

Didn't answer this call. They left no message - if it were important they would have left a message.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize and/or aren't saved in my phone. It's also my experience that credit card companies send letters to offer lower interest rates on your card, not phone you.  Also, my CC situation is such that offering me a lower rate doesn't make sense - idiots looking to prey on those not paying attention.

How could anyone who hadn't ALREADY pirated my personal information know what my credit rates are or even if I have any debt? My credit rates are just peachy thanks. Caller blocked.
