Called, left no information.

Said they were FH Cannon (sp?) and calling about student loans

They're collectors and they're breaking fair debt collection law. I have received one call a day from this number, I refuse to cooperate because of their abusive tactics.

Now one call a day is not violating the FDCPA.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

called this morning at 8:16 am.  asked for someone but told them no one here by that name.  Said that they had a wrong number.  Has called my home before but never answered until today because I was in bed.

I'm a woman and the caller was an unidentified man who kept referring to women as "females" and saying "maybe" to everything. Well, MAYBE you know this and MAYBE you know that. I'm not surprised that earlier reports of his line go into the direction of a debt collector. Just so gross.
