who is this ringing my phone?

Calls every Monday with no voice message. I don't know anyone in MA.

Rings and hangs up.  Caller ID only says Massachusetts.  I don't know anyone there.

I (stupidly) answered the call.  The man with a heavy accent asked for me by my first name. I asked who was calling and he went right in to his sales pitch of claiming I have over such an amount of debt but make my payments on time.  I stopped him right there and told him he had the wrong number and hung up.  He called back today.  I answered and immediately told him to remove my number from their data base.  He got aggressive and said that they bought my number and I needed to tell him why he was calling first.  I asked again.  He said that I can wait for him to call again.  I reported the call to the FCC.  If he calls again, I will get as much info that I can so I can completely report him to the FCC.  If anyone else wants to answer the call and get the company name for me, go a head!

Dude wants to "consolidate our unsecured debts". He has called twice. Both times I asked to be removed from his calling list. Both times he starts into this "I need you to listen to me first..." nonsense. Seriously?

They keep calling me too. They say they are from American Services or Consumer Services.  I keep telling them to stop calling and put my number on their do not call list.  The seem to be running a scam to reduce credit card a debt.  I think their plan is to have the client stop making payments until the account is delinquent and then make. Settlement on the account.  They charge a percentage for something you condo on your own.  They don't mention that it will screw up your credit.  If you call the number you get the "number not in service" message.  I suggest using a loud whistle as soon as you get them on the line.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
