Irs is suing us

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Called at 8:30 am  to tell us we are being sued by the IRS and to call this number to speak to an agent .

Called at 10:30am saying the IRS is suing us, call the number.

Received a call from this number at 11:30am today marked only "Wallis, TX" with a recording claiming to be the IRS.  The message said that they are suing us, this is a final notice, and to call back the number.  The IRS does not contact people this way, no person named, and all around this was a blatant scammer.  Beware, people!  Do not be fooled!!!

  Received a voice message on answer machine that this is from the IRS and have been trying to locate me. My last warning and for further info. call 979-217-1008. Was going to file charges against me if I didn't comply.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

just got a call from someone claiming to be from IRS saying they were going to sue me for back taxes

Received a phone call at 3:10 pm saying I was being sued by the IRS. Said I was to call this number immediately:
979-217-1008  It came from Wallis,TX.

Received a call today at 11:44 a.m. marked as UNKNOWN NAME from 0119792171008, per my voice mail. They left the following message: This call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services the reason of this is call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 979-217-1008 I repeat 979-217-1008 thank you

Being sued by IRS.  on 6/17/15 around 10:45 AM.  I know it is a hoax.

This # claimed to be irs. Full of it. Scam!

IRS scam recording, I am being sued and must call them back immediately. I've reported it.

This caller specifically claimed to be the IRS and was informing me that they were suing me. Hah!

Isn't a specific claim to be a government agency illegal.
