I got a call at 8:40 this morning and they didn't leave a message.

Just got a call from this number. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Called at about 9:40 AM. As I did not recognize the number, I did not answer. A 20 second voicemail was left - mostly silent, but with a male voice saying "Hello?" one time. Fairly obviously a call center, as a normal caller would have heard my outgoing message. Other sites indicate this number is involved in a "tech support" scam. Blocked.

I answered and asked for a business ID #. Caller abruptly hung up. Sand [***] haji scam!!!!

Caller claimed he was with tech support
regarding my computer. Told him my computer was fine. He said he knew that so I said we didn't need each other and to run his scam elsewhere.

Caller said from Tech Support America to solve a problem with my computer. Gave me a return number of 844-265-5143. This number 982-357-5259 was the one on my phone.

I got a call from this number at 2:32PM EST. Caller ID says Name Not Found.I answered it and he says he was calling about my computer.I knew this was a scam.I told him to remove my number from his calling list.I hope they will be caught.

Got call today about 2:45 pm. they said I had a problem with the hard drive on my computer, I told them to take their scam to someone who would believe them, They told me I didn't understand.  I told them they didn't understand I was a state investigator, oh my they hung up, lmao

Picked up a call from this number 982-357-5259 and stated that he needed to speak to the person in charge of the home computer. I asked to be removed off the company's call list. But the guy speaking an Indian accent started to give a nasty attitude and saying 'there is no list to take your number off'. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he stated I'm the manager so you don't need to speak to anyone. He then said this call could be very important and it is not a telemarketers call. I told him you asked for the person in charge of the home computer but we don't have one. He then said proceeded to insult me and thenjoy hung up.

There IS no area code 982 in this country. Always best not to answer calls from unfamiliar places. Scammers are getter craftier, though. I'm getting a lot of garbage calls from unfamiliar numbers in my own area code. I just listen when the answering machine kicks in and pick up when it IS someone I know. Which almost never happens...
