Someone trying to change computer settings claiming to be Microsoft

Just got a call from this number claiming to be with Microsoft. He said I had downloaded a virus onto my computer and I should go turn it on and he will tell me what needs to be done. He said he was in Washington but he had a very distinct Indian accent. I told him I was not going to turn on my computer and that I was not going to give him access to it; at which point he hung up.

"Jack", from windows said that they were connected to my IP address and found some kind
of virus. Hung up on him.

This guy called me more than once simply to bother me. But he had the wrong name associated with my phone number. I reported his ass to the FBI, FTC, and police. Probably won't do any good. Long story short, he claimed to be from some tech support having nothing to do with any account I have. When I called him on the carpet, he got sarcastic and extremely rude.

Just got a call from this number and all they said was "good by"

Called and left no message.  I'll add this area code to my call blocker.

Computer problem repair scammer with an Indian accent. Using the N11 expedited dialing to spoof thru an exchange?

Background noise, no voice, and hung up at 315 pm PDT.  

I also received a call from this number from someone claiming to be from Microsoft.  Both men had Indian accents and claimed that my computer had a virus and they would "help" me get rid of it.  After multiple questions from me regarding the name of their company, who they were employed by (one man said he "didn't know") they hung up on me.  My grandmother has also received calls from this number and the best part is that she is 84 years old and doesn't even own a computer!!! So obviously a scam.

Caller ID says "XXXXXXXXXX NC".  The area code 984 is from North Carolina.  I did not answer, they left no message.  First time I've gotten a call from XXXXXXXXXX!  They apparently mine the Internet for people in their 60s, looking for some old feeble person.  They obviously aren't aware that most "Senior" citizens are still "with it" enough to recognise a scam coming to you over the phone.  I wish I had the nerve to play with them a little.  I really need to get a hobby.

Operator said was calling from "Windows Technical Support" and that they had detected activity on my computer that indicated I had a virus.  I asked how they knew this and did not get a straight answer.  Then a "technical specialist" got on the line.  I asked what he wanted me to do to correct the problem.  He asked me to press the "Window" key and "R" at the same time, which opened up the Run window in the lower left-hand corner.  When I told him I wanted to know what he wanted me to type before I actually did it, he hung up on me.

I just got a call from 984-511-1645 they claimed to be with windows.  They said that my computer was currently getting a virus and they could help me fix it.  They asked me to go to my computer and click CTRL R and windows button to enter into RUN CLSI-888dca60-fc0a-11cf-8f0f-00c0-4fd7d06q.  I did not, they tried to get my to go to a website beginning at WWW.INFOS
I hung up before they finished.  Then they called back.  I said they had the wrong number.  I could hear the guy helping me giggling and laughing with someone else and even asked if they wanted to take the call instead.  I'm certain it was a scam.

They just called me as well, be on the look out.  They are very pushy and aggressive.

Background noise, no voice, hung up when I did not pick up the phone at 1119 am PDT.  You pick up and engage then they know you are "live" and will sell your information to others.  Do not answer, just do *69 to get their number and report them.  This is a different number from ones that called a few months ago.
