Took about 5 seconds and then a woman with an Indian accent answered claiming to be from the "technical support helpline( or something to that effect)" told her I wasn't interested, and hung up.

Indian Accent speaking person. something about my computer generating erroneous code and wanted help clean it up. I kept telling them I didn't have a computer and them started reading out loud the complaints on line about them. Person hung up very fast.

Woman with Indian accent told me my computer was infected with a virus. When I began to explain I was running the latest antivirus and malware plus router monitoring in and outbound traffic, she freaked out and hung up. Lying telemarketer bioch!

Just got a call by some Indian Man from this number claiming our emails were sending him stuff. He talked for like 2 minutes, and I knew it was a scam and I told him. Then hung up.

They called but I did not answer the call. They did not leave a message. I did not answer the call because I knew it was a scam.

Person wanted to show me bogus error in event viewer and then remote into my computer. I wasted their time on purpose.  This is the only way to fight these scammers.  Just act dumb and waste their time.  They will just move on the next person the minute they get off the phone with you. They will keep going till they find someone to take advantage of and infect their computer.

The "telemarketer" call type on this website is too nice of a classification for these people. They are scammers and thieves.

Play with them, tell them you have 4 computers. Ask which IP adress is having problems. The longer you keep them on the phone,the less time they will have to scam some some unsuspecting person.The Government can't stop it but WE THE PEOPLE can take back control of our phones and computers.They will give up with enough vigilance.

These Indian callers just don't give up..Calling almost everyday 3/4 times a day.
I don't pick up the phone since I don't recognize the number!

They've called me from two different numbers now.  This one (985-512-6598) looks like just started this week.  And the previous number (985-523-5016) which maybe too many people have blocked now.  Same caller id "LOUISIANA CALL" in each case.  These people are predators.  They may be in India or Iran, but the Louisiana phone numbers are obtained from a VOIP service provider in the US.  Which one?  If we make some noise with the provider, perhaps can at least make the criminal's life a little more difficult.

This guy said that he was from IT Tech Support from Micro Soft and was calling to tell me about my computer getting error messages. I asked him who he was because I had several hang ups on this number this week. He wanted me to go to my computer so he could "help me" fix my problems! Yeah like that was going to happen!!!! I told him, " I do not know you! " and hung up!!

Same number 985-512-6598 , same Indian Lady called about "fixing"  my computer - if I just type in a bunch of codes in my control panel. I am thinking Right Lady, , let me also give you my Social Security number, banking info and put you as the beneficicairy on my Life Insurance policy .   Anyway, had a lot of fun ... keep her on the phone for 45 minutes " Have to go get my Lap top.   its firing up now, running really slow, set the phone down for 10 minutes, almost there , made her repeat code ten times to type  in , then told her Greeen Bar at 17 % ,  15 minute later at Green Bar at 87 % ........   15 minutes later ( no lie , I went out and washed the mats on my car,.... came back ... oh it failed ... want me start all over- she then hung up !       LOL

These people call every day several times and at odd hours.  I have old people and babies sleeping in this house. I am about to have my landline taken out because it won't stop. Is there really anything a person can do about these people?  

First call from this number.  CID said "Name unavailable and phone number".  Did what I always do on calls I do not recognize.  First posted the info on this site.  Then added the number to my call blocker.  It's really all I can do.

Just received a call from 985-512-6598, shown as "Name Unavailable"....... claims to be from PC cleaner??? or something like that, to tell me about my computer sending out messages, etc.  He had an Indian accent and I could hardly understand what he was saying, but I've had several calls from someone like this before claiming to be from Microsoft, with the same routine.  I told him that I knew there was nothing wrong with my computer, and that he was just a scammer, and to not call me again.  

Caller ID "Name Unavailable" ... MAY 26@6:00pm EDT… I do not answer calls I don't know. They did not leave a message. 800notes indicate this is a SCAMMER!

They called at 9:49PM! [***]. I'm in IT and was very interested in giving them the run around then blocking their number.

The same man has been calling my house for almost a year .  He knows my name - first and last, and instructs me to get to my co punter right away, I need to log on so he can fix the problem.  When asks he says he is from a company name of initials and each time when asked to repeat he uses different letters.  He claims Microsoft is asking him to call
