Called, left no message.  ID says Out of Area

Call from this number stated I had a computer problem...SMELL SCAM?  I told male individual not to call again.  He stated that "he would call as many as they wanted, maybe 10 times".  If this number calls again I will notify the FCC.

Called at 6:05 PM  4/28/2014.  Caller ID   Name Not found.

Received a call. No message. No voice

A man calling about computer problems... but we didnt call anyone.

Indian fellow, "Adam", called and said I had a computer problem...  Asked me to run "eventvwr";  I took about 30 minutes to do this, he had to walk me through it twice!  Since this is actually my work computer, I was asked for an admin password (and had to admit to him that this was my company computer.)  That seemed to stump him, and after a long hold, he dropped the call.  I was all set to tell him it belonged to the FBI (or FTC, or whatever would sound the best.)  Too bad...

A man (with a heavy foreign accent) named "Steve" called.  Said he was with the Tech service calling about my computer.  Was I the primary owner....  I said do NOT call here again. Take me off your calling list.  He said, I WILL NOT!  I said really ?! then hung up.  I smell SCAM and RUDE to boot!

Came up name unavailable, didn't answer.  Machine picked up and after 30 seconds someone grumbled hello but nothing else

Man with heavy Indian accent called rudely said something about computer, I said No husband yelled in background what do they want, I replied I dont know cant understand a word he is saying, call dropped

indian guy called from TECHline somethings wrong with my computer? Its downloading harmful info! I need to log in as admin and he would talk me through running "evntvwr" to stop it. Yeah right .... hung up on him, tried number back its not in service googled number lots of complaints so heres another one. Hope it helps.

Called and ID said name not fournd.  Picked up the phone and said nothing.  No voice no anything.  I hung up.  If this is anything like Guru Aid - my laptop was DESTORYED and could not be repair by those jerks.  Fool me once shame on you= fool me twice shame on me.  I am so sick of all of these damn calls

Very poor connection.  Hard to understand due to the bad connection and the accent.
Caller actually tried to carry on a conversation with my answering machine.
(I think my answering machine was more intelligent than was the caller)

This phone number 985-523-5016 called my home and stated his name was Erik to my mother in law and then she passed phone to me he stated his name is Henry and that is the first suspicion of a scam phone call. I proceeded to ask him what the nature of his call was and he stated there are downloads that we are unaware of and unable to catch by anti-viruses and firewalls. I explained we dont do much downloading he became irate stating we dont have to download it just happens. he wanted me to go onto the computer and follow his instructions which i then asked what his company name was and he stated askhelptechine.com an would not give any other information. I called a friend over at Microsoft and stated they have received several calls from consumers stating they received such calls and that this is a scam they want to hack into computer and shut it down when you deny making any payments to them. BEWARE!

this number called me about my computer and I told the person with heavy accent that I couldn't understand him, that I knew it was a scam and I hung up after telling him to not call me from India.  He called back and said I made a mistake because everytime I hung up, he would call back twice. And he did up to 10 times. He threatened to come to my house and obviously did a search and used my daughter and husbands name and gave my address. He would not give the company name

Rude. Foul mouthed. Told me to F*ck off when I asked him to remove me from list. Called my boyfriend a "bloody street nig**a" unbelievable.  Hiw can these people be stopped? !?

While I can believe this person was rude, I find the rest of your story difficult to believe.

I quickly recognized this accented dude and a "fix your computer" scammer and managed to waste 20 minutes of his time with my best Gomer Pyle impersonation.  When he got to "we may have to charge you to have a technician fix your computer"  I told his to *** off and go annoy someone else.

Yeah just got them calling here, saying that my computer, with out me knowing, has downloaded some stuff off the internet and is causing you problems.  Let him talk for a few minutes before i told him i was forwarding his to the FBI if he could please hold, and was hung up on.  He was wanting me to go threw and change some setting so they could prob. have access to my system.  985-523-5016
