Call came in 2 seconds after this number 855-402-0737  The National Recovery Center...phony debit collection.

Got a call this morning at 9:30 a very thick Indian accented male was claiming to be from Microsoft service dept and that my computer had download malicious malware while I was checking my email after explaining I didn't not have a Windows computer nor a working internet connection he repeated what I said and then hung up.
I have been getting this call for 3 weeks from now 3 different phone numbers, they call at all hours of the day and night...not answering the phone, hanging up, or saying I have no internet doesn't stop them. My state has advised people to call the Attorney General's office to report the calls...I have been placing daily log calls with them reporting the typical 4 to 5 calls I get daily.

The caller claimed to have information about my computer and asked to speak to the person who owns the computer. I kept asking for a name, which he finally was able to find my name. I then asked how he got my phone number and he then hung up. Beware. It was listed as coming from Independence, LA.

The caller claimed to be calling from Windows support system.  He  said that I had a lot of potential hackers in my computer that could make my computer crash at any moment.  My computer was down when he called so he said he would call me back Monday at the same time.  I researched the telephone number on my caller I.D.  It came up as Amanda Garvin.

I just received the same call a few minutes ago and I immediately checked the number on-line and I pulled up this page.  The female caller said that I had trojon breaking my computer??? Also the call was closer to 10 pm being unusual for telemarketers.  I said I have protection and she said okay and hung up?!  Must be some thieves working overtime.

I was getting unwanted calls from another 985 number and I blocked them on my phone.  Immediately started receiving calls from this number which shows up on caller id as amanda garvin.  I blocked this number but just received a call (10pm on a Sunday night) which on my call log shows the added prefix of 011.  The number is now too long to block.  Very annoying, irritating, frustrating.

Same as Dee, at 10:18 pacific time recieved a call from Amanda Garvin, no response upon answer as she was too busy shushing the children in the background to speak, and then hung up instead of actually speaking. we have been recieving unwanted calls from these people for a while now all the while requesting to be added to the Do Not Call registry to no avail

Since the person who commented above just responded about an hour ago, I can only assume I was next. I get calls from a man and a woman, both have a strong India accent and won't take no for answer. Like the above comments, they call at weird hours and usually after 10 pm. They say I have something wrong with my computer and they are with 'windows' and and I may have something criminal occurring as a result from automatic downloads I have received from the internet. One thing they do stress is the fact that I only have a few minutes before it will be to late, so must act fast if I want to fix it. I asked how they got my phone number she said windows gave it to her. I told her I could do nothing since it wasn't my computer and that there are scams out there. She said it wasn't a scam that this was serious and I could be in big trouble. She kept repeating that she would walk me through the procedure, I said no. Tonight I asked if I could have her number so that my husband could call her back, and we were cut off. Good, I want to be done.

An Indian male claiming to be from Microsoft support called about my computer being infected by a virus. He requested that I turn it on my PC so he can walk me through the steps to fix it. I hung up on him, turned on my PC and ran a search against his number which lead me to this post.

This is clearly a phishing scam. Please do not entertain his request! By the way, the Caller ID shows up as Independence LA.

received two calls from 985-606-0307 caller iD says amanda garvin. both calls came after 10pm went to voice mail. no message.called the number, voice mail is a white woman. it says leave a message we will call you back.

My son was having issues with his computer. He was looking up HP pages. Then a call came in. He said tech support for HP. Made sense right!!!!  Not. Got me to open a couple things. When I saw some shady stuff going on I shut it down and disconnected everything. Ran kaspersky pure for any problems. Checked to make sure no new programs were added to my PC. I have found nothing. I keep calling the number back. But big surprise no answer. I will keep trying and bug them as bad as they bugged me.

Called this morning @ 8:13am from Amanda Garvin. Since I don't answer calls I don't recognize, I let the answering machine take it. No message. Googled the number and was led here.  Number is now blocked.

Received a call at 10:15 pm from this number.  Very heavy Indian accent.  3rd call in a month. I told him to stop calling and I know it is a scam.  He responded with "Shutup B*".  Very brazen and ridiculous.

Well since my state is one party consent state I have simply taken to telling them that I am recording the call to send to the AG of the state.
Most hang up, the least one when informed that the call was being taped and I knew it was a scam said "Who told you that bullsh!t".

Caller id says Garvin, Amanda. I missed the call.

They keep calling and it's after 10 pm at night. I tried calling back but the messages are full.

I've had the exact experience!  They call everyday and night at 11:00pm and wake us up.

I'm having the same experience daily. The call comes in on my land line and cell phone. Tonight the Indian girl called at 11pm. I unleashed myself on her and she hung up. It came up on caller ID as Amanda Garvin as well. She claimed to call from Microsoft. Liar, liar!
