These Indian speaking person (couldnt speak english) Threatened to send my husband to jail for some case that we dont even know about. Never said what the case was  about everytime we asked them to explain they gave us the run around and transferred us to someone else... They said that they were going to at our home the following day with the police...

It is illegal for them to threaten you over the phone. You can record your calls and report them to the BBB, State Attorney; don't back down. Ask them what company they are calling from, what purpose, ask for a lead or supervisor.
They called me about something that had been dismissed. Never negotiate or provide additional information such as address, bank account or social security number. You have rights! If they continue to harass you then seek legal assistance so you can sue them.

Sounds like the typical Indian scammers - they'll say your husband is going to be jailed for some loan which was not paid back (a loan which you never even received).  Either that, or a "bad check" - which also never happened.  If they call back tell them that the FBI is monitoring and tracing all calls they make to you.  DO report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.

Debt is a civil matter, not criminal, so NO ONE will be arrested.  

As an FYI, even if someone has committed a crime (which defaulting on a loan is NOT a crime) they are not given a heads up that they'll be arrested.

They called me also about a loan check they said they would be going to my job and my apt in the next thirty minutes if I don't settle for 525 dollars .  I was kinda scared but I decided to google the situation . Google always helps me find out more not that I know this is a scam . I will report them first thing tomorrow morning . This really helped thanks you guys

I just got a call from them saying I owe 895$s and I need to pay it if I don't they will file with the court tomorrow and it will be criminal charges they will have a warrent issued and I will go to jail and I won't he able to work in the USA for 6 months I'm so scared of made me sick and my blood pressure has went up to 200/168

Hi I just got a phone call from a "lawyer" named "Richard Harris", claiming the police were on the way to arrest me at my job or home, funny how he called me at work but was sending police to arrest me at home. And told me that I had a Payday loan from 2012, (which I didn't) and since I defaulted he was having me arrested.  I panicked at first and asked if we could work out arrangements because I did have an issue way back in 2006, but when he told me I needed to send him 1300 right now, I became suspicious and got hi phone number but he never clearly said who his employer was, and he said I owed USA Cash loans.  I got him off the phone with a promise to call him back, and by plugging in the phone number it brought me to this site, and now that I read everyone's info I feel much better about all this.  The guy was obviously Indian and his name is Richard Harris??? Famous British actor Richard Harris??? These guys must think we are stupid.  They obviously prey on people who have used payday loans and they use humiliation and the threat of jail to scare us into paying them exorbitant sums of money.  Crazy.

I got a call from that number saying I was part of a class action law suit and this is my notice that I would be  arrested within the next 48 hrs and will have to pay 8000 after its all over and done with or spend 7 to 8 months in jail. Or I could $999 today and settle it out of court

No and you should report these calls to the fbi,FTC, Your state attorney general and the fcc..

No they cannot.  The threats they made are all violations of federal law (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). but since there is a very good chance they are calling from outside the US, there is not much hope of going afer them.  I would bet they cannot even produce a proper "Debt Validation Notification" letter as required by law if you request one.  If you have an old, unpaid loan or other debt, you would need to check the statute of limitations on suing to collect in your state as that is the most they can do if the debt is not time barred.

Class Action Law Suit?  That's a new one.  Usually their missapplied legalese is about a restraining order.

I am sick of these people calling and threatening to have the police come to my house.  These people have no reason to call me.  They are just scam artists.

I got a call from this guy he switch his name to jason brown simple he gave me a full afterdavid and told me that im gonna go to jail and calling about fraud

Keep receiving calls from 985-718-0633 saying they are from some law firm. Very thick Indian accent.

I just received a call from them at first I was just holding the phone and wasn't saying anything then they called my work phone. I told him that I was going to have the police come to his job and arrest him for calling me and harrassing me and the fact that they are a fraud and he just hung up in my face. So, please DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not answer none of their questions. Threaten them just like they threat you and see what happenes. JUST STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just called  me and I hung up.  They called me back and told me to go to hell

they called this little indian had a hard time talking English and told me that my attorney should call him do not what and the hell that no good mofo is looking for

I got a phone call from this number also, but they have my social security number. they even have my st. address. I'm not sure what to do
