Got a call from 985-845-0367 this morning @ 7:46 am.  I asked the man on the phone  if this is a collection agency and he sd that it was, I then asked him if they are a 3rd party agency, he sd they are,  I then informed this MAN (Because I am trying to be nice) that is ILLEGAL to call people this early in the morning.  He then sd that he was looking for my husband.  I told him to not call this early anymore, he never apologized or anything.  What he don't know is that I AM A DEBT COLLECTOR AND I KNOW THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not only is it illegal for a 3rd Party debt collection agency to call you before 8 am and after 9 pm, they are not allowed to call you 1. More than once a day IF they speak to a human,unless they have verbal permission to call back that day from someone in the household, 2. They may only leave 1 message per day at each of the phone #'s that they have for you.  These are ILLEGAL ACTS if they do so and the collector and the company can be SUED for harrassement!  I believe the amt is around $20,000 per incident!  Look up your FDCPA law for your state to find out for sure.  Needlesstosay, they ARE VIOLATING THE LAW!
