The recording said "the government is releasing money for mortgages. If you are a home owner, press 1. All of our reps are helping other customers so leave your name & number & someone will call you back as soon as possible." I left a message that just said "I would like for you to take this number off your list & not call here again as I have no mortgage & dont need to talk to you ever again."  Will see if they call back.

I do not want sales people calling me and I CERTAINLY do not want sales calls AFTER 9 PM. This number called after 9 PM and woke me up. They are Metro PCS. I have their cell phone but they were calling on my land line?? If they are reading this......DO NOT CALL ANYONE WITH YOUR SALES PITCH AFTER 9PM!!!!!  

I am sick of these unknown number calls.  I won't answer and they never leave a message.  What good is a Do Not Call Registry.

Called Saturday morning.  Left no message.  I also have Panasonic phone that can block 250 numbers.  Blocked this one.

Debt collector asking for some unknown person harassment. Would not identify himself or company.

I called the number  back and got the "this number is not in service" message.

Just received a call from this number.  Didn't pick it up.  Hit the monitor button twice so the phone quit ringing.   Second call today that I did this with.

I had a call from this number.  It showed up as 919891757520.  The country code is from India.  Needless to say, I did not answer it.

Caller ID says, "UNKNOWN NAME 989-175-7520".  I don't think that is even a "real" phone number.   Called 3/27 at 19:59.

Got a call from Unknown Name 989-175-7520 at 7:09 pm on my landline.  Haven't used my answering machine for years, so they couldn't leave a message.  I wouldn't have answered an unknown number in any case.  Once again, this website has provided useful information about a caller.  No matter how many times this number appears on the caller I.D. I will ignore it.  Eventually, they will quit calling.  Even if they try other numbers I will continue to ignore them and then, come here to see what information might be available.  

Call showed up on caller ID as "out of area" with 91 in front of the number.  Yep.  I'm going to answer a call from India while I'm eating supper.  Not bloody likely.

989-175-7520. I have no idea what they wanted because my Caller ID said  "Name Unknown". I do NOT answer ANY of these kind of calls. The call was to my landline around 6:50pm,EST.

Over the past week, I have received a approximately15 calls over the past week from unknown callers calling fromthe following numbers, one a early as 8:00 AM: 989-175-7529, 210-301-0307, 918-417-9314, 413-407-8582, and 516-800-0000.

We just got a. Couple of calls from  91-989-175-7520  ID said out of area so we don't answer them. Just found out it's from India. Getting really upset with all the " out of area" calls lately.  Do Not Call registry is becoming a big farce.

Do you REALLY think the DNC list can block calls from India?
Please re-read the info at the DNC site.  Learn what it really does (and does not) do!

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

They called around 8:05PM, unknown name, and left a blank message. It was rather strange and didn't even think 900s number existed. Seriously? All this from India? Veeeery unlikely since there are too many scams all over the world.  Just wishing we could just press the blocking numbers and press their numbers, so we wouldn't be harassed anymore.

Many calls at night, but  no mesasage!
