did not answer. did not know anyone that would be calling from this area code

Didn't recognize this number so I turned off my answering machine and just let it ring and ring!

It's a garbled phone call message, which is unrecognizable.  When I call the number back, my provider informs me that the number is no longer in service.  Weird!

I answered the phone and got a lot of interference and someone in the background speaking a language I did not understand.  Definitely not English.  I said Hello a couple of times, then they hung up.

Caller ID for 989 area code is Central Michigan. Have no friends or family there.
I can tell it is bogus because the entire number is all one number on the top line and then the # with spaces on the second line.
As the Better Business Bureau says on these types of calls "if unknown(to you), leave it alone". Good advice for all of us.
Most people I know call me on my cell anyway. How long before they ever give up?

Speaks broken English saying he is from Windows Security and every time I use the internet it downloads malicious stuff on my computer.   Told him I don't have internet and he said when I had internet it did it and is still on my computer from then.  Told him I didn't believe him and hung up.

Have gotten FIVE calls from this number today, and haven't answered any of them.  These people think Americans are stupid and that we will believe whatever bullcrap they tell us.  Wrong.

The call from 9892563868 is a computer hacker!  My hubby got the call and he proceeded to go to my computer like they instructed.  The caller said he was from Internet Exployer and he was calling from California.  His phone said the call came from Michigan.  So beware out there...I just hope he didn't do anything to my computer...I will have it unplugged...

An Indian-speaking man called to tell me he wanted to fix my Windows program.  I told him not to call me anymore, that he was a scam artist.  He asked how I  could say that, and I replied that I was smarter than him and wouldn't fall for his nonsense.  I than hung up.  What a waste of time!!

Just called.  Garbled background noise like he was calling from a call center.  Total scammer. Don't pick up.

I've been called by this number daily, several times a day for weeks. I don't know who it is, don't want to , and want them to stop. Is a foreign sounding male regarding computers. I tell them I'm not interested and not to call but still the calls come.

Had a Woman with an Indian accent call today. Said she had to fix my windows security. I told her "okay" and let her think she was walking me through the steps to "fix" my computer. When she asked me what the screen said, I told her: "it says...don't trust the lady on the phone, she's scamming you." Needless to say, she hung up. Hopefully they'll never call back.

I received a woman and a man at two different times.  They are trying to tell me I have something internally wrong with my computer.  Sounds like a recall message.  I said not interested if something is wrong I'll just replace it, not to call again.

Thank goodness for caller block.

Thick Asia India accent says he's from Microsoft I said quit calling me.

This number called us and said there was a problem with the computer using our landline for access.  Obviously a phishing scam or hacker of some sort, since we don't use our landline for internet access.  I could hear voices in the back like a call center and the caller had an accent i think was Indian.

Outfit called twice in a week.  First time the wife answered and got a little suspicious.  This time I answered, said one of my   windows computers called home to report a problem.   I told him that I dont have any windows machines, I am a Mac guy.   He hung up

Received a call from 989-256-3868.  The man told me he was with Windows security.  When I told him, "nice try, I work for a software company", he hung up.  

I keep getting calls from this number even though we've told them several times we're not interested!  They say they're from a computer company and can tell our computer is having issues and they can fix it.

Sounded like call center, lots of voices in background.  Caller, a man with accent, said he was with Microsoft to help take care of a computer problem.  Let him know I didn't accept these types of calls.  We are on the DO NOT CALL...big joke!

Received a call at home today from this number and oddly enough one a my work last week.  Man named "David" with thick Indian accent that could barely speak English, trying to tell me my computer was sending error reports to Microsoft.  Told him I had several computers and which one was he referring to.  His reply "the one running windows".  Duh!  How dumb do they think we are?  I hung up on him and he called back saying "I think we got disconnected"  LOL!  Yeah, dummy, I disconnected the call.  Told him I would call the better business bureau to report him and he then sported an attitude and said, "FINE, you don't want us to get on your computer, we won't".  I said, "Heck no, I don't want you on my computer!" and hung up again!
