Answered the call. Was a person stating that the PC in our house was infected. We don't have a PC. Don't answer this number.

Got a call from this number at 10:30 PM last night. I answered a moment before my wife. No one on the line for 2-3 seconds then I heard a female voice with an Indian accent start to ask me about a computer in my home. I told my wife I got it and asked the caller, in a rather loud and angry voice, "Do you have any idea what time it is where I live?" Silence then a hang up. These people really aggravate me.

called @1045pm claiming my computer had a virus and wanted me to open up page so and so... obviously scammers, I laughed and hung up, they called right back, let it roll to voice mail, left no message.   strong indian accent, beware

We got a call after 11 pm. Said a computer in our home downloading malware and she would walk through how to stop it. We hung up. Woman with accent  obviously scammers.

the caller said that my windows computer was sending a lot of error messages to them and said that i had to fix it. I don't have a windows computer, i have a mac!

6:58 am on 4/24/14 I received a call from man with thick Indian accent saying he was from Windows security something department.  He said there is a known virus and my computer was sending information out all over the internet, something about my IP address, etc.  I have a Mac,  and I was curious, so I asked what he wanted me to do and he said, "I need you to be in front of your computer . . . " at which point I hung up.

Called at 10:30 PM and got a few choice swear words from me as a result.  Total and absolute jerkwads.  Not only are they criminals, but to call so late is so beyond a nuisance.  The lowest of the low.... would have to aspire to the scum level.

I received a call at 10:30 PM. A woman with an Indian accent said my computer was sending messages/files over the internet because was infected. I said I know about computers and my computer is doing no such thing. I then hung up. The caller ID said MICHIGAN CALL. - definitely a scam.

I received a call at 7:50am this morning. After a brief silence, a man with an accent said "Hello", at which point I hung up.  My thanks for sites like this!

I also got a call from this number at 7:50 AM.  I did not answer as I did not recognize the number.  Whoever it was has a nerve calling at such an early time.  I am sure it was nothing I was interested in.

Just when you think the tele-scammers can't go any lower, they call through at 10:38 pm!  These bozos seem to be short a brick or two, as it seems likely that they are only going to reach really angry people, when they call through so late or so early.

Called early this morning; I was unable to get to the phone. After reading these notes I am glad I didn't.

received call from 989-738-5495 today 4/26/14. Received same call from 989-641-6022 2 days ago. Both had same message. My computer is infected and will shut down shortly. !st call said they can fix it but it would have to be now. If they find something it would then cost me between 177.00 to 185.00 to be paid only if I am satisfied. 2nd call I hung up as soon as they said they were from microsoft and my computer was infected. I said no your not and hung up.

They called my home twice. Once at 10:30 PM, the second last night about 9:00. I'm a criminal intelligence analyst and working on a second college degree in Information Technology. Thought I would mess with them. They told me my computer was downloading malware, I told them it wasn't on or connected to the Internet. They then wanted me to turn it on so that they could walk me thorugh the steps. I told them I had two anti-virus programs and Windows Security Essentials, after all they said they were from Windows security. When I asked them to add the particular malware software they were looking for to the next Windows Security Essentials patch, she told me that anti-virus programs don't always catch the problem. Then I asked why they couldn't update Security Essentials if they knew what the problem was. She continued to tap-dance around the subject. Next I told her I as an IT Professional and worked for a major federal law enforcement agency, that's when I heard the click and silence.

String them along and then tell them you have hacked their system and will be uploading a virus to their system.

Got a call from this number tonight just after 9 pm - said the caller's name was V.G. Gibbons.  I didn't recognize either the name or the number, so didn't answer, thank goodness!  Hope they catch this bunch of pond scum.  I'm 83 years old, and don't want to be bothered by this type of criminal!!

These calls are made to keep people(like you) off balance and aggravated ...I have such fun with them....next time,"pretend" to open the page they ask for...and act it out,see how far you can take them and waste their time for a change...if they call back,answer in a thick accent and reverse it,telling them they have a virus now in their system and would they like a big bowl of tabouli???

Who,pray tell,will "catch" these people??? Our own government is killing us,our officials are corrupt,our voting is fixed,payed-off.Being you're old school,I respect that...People born in the 30's are the last of a great people...

Called twice this week, both times after 10pm PT. I am so angry. Need to find out how to stop this. I see lots of posts about the calls, but no information on how to stop them.

You can't stop the calls being initiated because they originate in India.  You can protect yourself.  Invest in a call blocker.
