Scam call. Non English accent asking about computer.  Hung up immediately.

Scam - Non English accent.  Another Windows help call saying my computer was sending errors, blah, blah, blah.  
I told her I'd look at it and call her back and then I hung up.  We'll see if they call back from this number or use another one.  We have had several of these scammers the past month, different number each time. Depending on my mood I will either string them along for awhile and waste their time until they get mad or just tell them I have a Mac and they hangup immediately.  

I just answered a call from this number. Caller I.D says "STONEY SHIRLEY"
The when I said 'hello', it took a few seconds before they answered. Their answer was 'hello' then she hung up.
Made my life that much easier.
I heed the warning from above poster that they may call again.
I have my sports horn ready to blast if they do call back.

Non-English accent asked if I was the owner of the computer.  I said yes and then they hung up.

They called me too! So irritating. You can tell it was an out of country call because of the delay. He had a strong heavy accent. Says my computer sent them a message that there was a problem. I don't own a Microsoft but he insisted that it was my computer. He knew our name from the registry. WTHeck!

I received a call from this number and the Caller ID said Stoney Shirley.  When I answered a male with an accent informed me he was with HP and they had detected a virus coming from an IP address in my home. He offered to walk me through all the steps needed to "clear" this virus.  I told him I would run my own scan and hung up.  NEVER in my 25 years of owning a computer has anyone proactively called me to warn me of a virus!!

Just received a call from Stoney Shirley saying there was something wrong with my computer.
I told him there is nothing wrong with my computer, not to call me again and hung up.

Scam call received from this number. Non english accent! Said they worked for Microsoft asking about our computer.

Received scambcall on 1\7\15. Do NOT give out any info.

Received same call as everyone else ... Scam non English accent then number is a saginaw michigan number

9:06 pm 1/7/2014 Caller ID said Shirley Stoney. After a brief pause, a woman with a pronounced accent stated she was calling from "Windows" about an urgent problem with my computer and asked me to verify that I was "the computer owner". I told her I knew her call was a scam and would not continue the conversation, then hung up.

9:54pm mountain time 1/7/2015 Called ID showed Shirley Stoney. Guy with accent called to tell my that my wife's computer was sending "virus signals" to their database. Said he was calling from Windows. Told him we aren't connected to the net that he was full of ***t and not to call me ever again. He promptly hung up.

Got called on 1-7-15 at 10:20PM!!! What the hell!!! >:0 let the voicemail answer and they left no message.

Call at 22:50 . Said I have problems with my computer and they want to help me fix the problem

Wife answered a call from Stoney Shirley at 10:44 PM 1/7/2015. Wanted to talk about my computer. My wife told her we don't have a computer in a similar dialect. They hung up.

scammer for windows, hung up after heard thick accent broken  English struggling to say words right. Got out computer and Microsoft Windows then hung up.

When the phone rings at 6:45 in the morning you jump to answer. Machine started to pick up before I grabbed phone, I intercepted, there was a grunt then they hung up. I looked it up and it's a Michigan area code.

Received a message from Stoney Shirley at 6:45 this morning making me jump out of bed. A foreigner told me a he was receiving a signal saying my computer is ready to crash. I yelled at him and said "it's 6:45 in the morning and I don't own a computer, what the hells the matter with you people", then I hung up.

This number just called me and asked me if I was the owner of the computer.  I hung up as I figured it was a scam!  I am thankful that I did.  Thanks for the previous postings.  It was a man who said he name was Max.  He had an accent...

First call from "Stoney, Shirley" @8:09pm Pacific.  I never answer calls from unknowns, but pick up and hangup in one move.  Next call got me out of bed @ 10:44pm.  "Stoney, Shirley" is now blocked.
