Probably just another scam number. My advice, block any number you don't directly know. If it matters you're probably in contact with the person and can resolve the block later. Block first, ask questions... well... never.

Fake call from someone who is trying to do phishing attack by getting you to think your computer is giving off fake error messages to their Microsoft Server. Hang up immediately because; these malicious actors do not work for Microsoft.

called She said she was from British telecom, and that my computer was broken. They told me to open windows event viewer.

Crap phishing number!

Did not pick it up - never saw such a strange area code. When the machine answered they immediately hung up.

Indian guy tried to convince me my computer was sending out error messages. Told him I would call my service provider or computer manufacturer and then he claimed that he was from the computer manufacturer but I told him only Microsoft deals with these problems and he shut up :)

Student loan scam. I entered my Google Voice number onto a student loan consolidation website *two years ago*. This is the only place I've given out that number. They won't stop calling. A few hours ago they opted me into text messages without my permission. This time I called and asked for a manager; while I was leaving a voicemail for the manager, they called from another number with some BS about a $6,000 loan eligibility. I asked for a manager again, and told them I'd be filing a detailed report to the FCC. They told me to "Call Donald Trump". Ridiculous. It's a noisy overseas call center with Indian accents.

Multiple calls with no message left.  Answered on 4th attempt in one day.  Foreigner told me he was calling from US and I was approved for a Federal Grant.  When I said that I never applied for a grant, he said "F*** you." and he hung up.  Just block away because this has scam written all over it.

Most of the time, I don't feel like dealing with them, and I pick up then immediately hang up and this messes up their auto-dialer, most of the time, fooling it into registering your phone number as a bad number or a blocked number. If they do persist, I then block them. But, every once in a while, I want to mess with them, just like they're doing with us. Only thing is, what they are doing to people, is far worse. So, I'll just play dumb and play along, and go off on tangents and talk about something off the wall. Usually, one of two things happens. 1. They just hang up. Or 2. They get mad and say nasty things. As soon as they get nasty with me, I don't hang up, I RIP THEM A NEW ONE and tell them WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE! And, to really bring it home, I tell them, that when they are reincarnated, they will be reincarnated as a lower lifeform, like a Stink Beetle or a Cockroach! This really pisses them off, or they hang up. I end it either way.

Scam artist. Block the number and save yourself the hassle. I asked to be taken off the calling list, he said no.

Called. No message left.

They keep calling us! For about a second, before we have a chance to answer they hang up. I can't wait to speak to them and waste their time.

Yeah... I was selected to receive $9500 in grant money. I told him I looked his number up on Google and it says that your a scam artist. No... the government told us to call. I said okay... what is your government ID so I can call my local government office to find out if this is real or not... and dial tone!

Picked it up and heard a lot of phone people in the background, but the person never said anything....yeah, I won't be picking that one up again.

I just got a call, i missed the first one. No message left when it went to voicemail.

The person was in a call centre, telling me people in my area are using my internet connection to do illigal activity.

Now the qay he was reasing from a damn script I had to tell him, thata what he was doing. He ignored that statement and went on to tell me the same bogus story.

Since as he "claimed" to be calling from BT, i said, "so if I call the technical department, they will verify this, I have to challenge his foolishness.

He then started speaking in his language to someone so i disconnected the call and called Sky to get this number blocked.
