I am reporting a call from 998-106-9899. It showed up as unavailable.

Called my cell at 1:15am - didnt leave message

Received call on cell and home number. Shows unknown name.  No message

It's a call from Cancun, Mexico.

they called my cell phone  pretending that i called them..i looked at the history and i didnt even have the number on my cell....it is a scam but not sure why.

Received 2 calls on my cell and 3 calls on my home phone on 11/1. I didn't recognize the number 998-106-9899 so I did not answer it and they did not leave a message.

received a call from this number had no idea where/what it was from. anyways the caller left a message and it was indeed a friend of mine on vacation in mexico at this moment.

so i've no issues with this phone number. buddy said he was using a long distance phone card.

just got a 2 phone calls from 9981069899 after the first call i found this site and then got the 2nd call from a person lookin for some named Frank A.i asked the caller if they were in Cancun ,Mexico and he said yes so i told him have a good time...hahahahah

I recieved a call on my cell phone from this phone number and it turned out to be a friend of mine at a hotel using a long distance phone card vacationing Cancun, Mexico.

i got a phone call from this number and it turned out to be from my sister who is vactioning in Cozumel.  She didn't say if it was a phone card or not.

Got two calls from this number. One at 8:49pm and 8:50pm. They did leave a voicemail.

got a call from my parents vacationing in cancun, cannot call the number from the states (so I'd have to assume that it is in fact a calling card id number)--reception was very hit or miss, but I got to hear them say hello. . .

The call was from a realitive on vacation. He called from his cell phone and the cell phone service provider showed up on our caller id as the 998-106-9899 even though he was using his own cell phone

I just got a call from a woman asking if this was Nita.. call lasted 18 seconds on my cell phone. I just want to know why the phone companies havent blocked this number or terminated service if its a scam!! Next call will be to my phone company complaining!!

This number appeared on my caller id, I answered, it was my dad calling from Cancun Mexico on his own cell phone.  Other calls from him in Mexico have appeared as "unknown caller" but never have shown his actual cell number.

Call started coming last week had 3 this morning. 2 message but i don't know "Ray". Sprint, my cell phone company was not helpful at all.

i received 11 phone calls from this number 998-106-9899 on 2/27/08.  i answered the first call and they hung up. the second time i answered telling them obviously they had the wrong number and they proceeded to call 9 more times.  what a lowlife!

My boss is vacationing in Cancun.  She called me from the hotel and 9981069899 came up in my display.  It must be a "gateway" of some sort for calls from Mexico to the US.
