Just got a call from "Rick" with OneStar looking for a software firm (we are but I didn't tell him that). Told him he had the wrong number and asked if he could take us off his call list. He didn't understand what I said and then hung up....

I got a call from Rick Martin- I told him I was not allowed to give him any information and he said"thank you and take it in the @$%" He needs to be fired.

Got a call from this number like 5 times, first the guy said he was from onstar n then hung up.. n then he called and started cursing using racist slurs

Phone numbers and caller ID information can be blocked, spoofed, and scrambled.  Knowing exactly who is calling is fast being clouded by the very same technology that has created it.  However, with regard to 999-222-5055, consider also 760-705-8888 (a blind number used by google phone) and 924235761831 (hyphenation unknown) as all three being numbers used by a software developement firm in India (records would seem to indicate).  These folks proclaim themselves to be coders and programmers for hire. The pitch is that if you have a software application to develope or write, they feel they can (using a cheap labor force) do it for you at a cost savings.  Whether this is true or not remains to be seen.
