"202" AREA CODE FRAUD AND SCAM CALLS

just  a  fyi  that    there  is  a  huge and   never  ending  amount  of  fraud  and  scam  calls    from the   "  202 "  area  code"............

HERE  IS  SOME  HELPFUL  INFO , SO  WATCH  OUT !!!


some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers and  scammers  working  out  of , but  not  limited  to.....  in  INDIA /  THAILAND /  AFRICA /  JAMAICA    ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

And then there are all of the politicians and bureaucrats with area (202) phone numbers!

During election time over the last few months, I have been deluged with Area 202 calls, so I knew that they were politicians. The law should be changed so that politicians cannot bombard citizens with trash robo-calls. Savvy people don't answer or hang up anyway, and vote for someone else who has better manners (we hope).

I locked out the entire 202 area code with my call management device.   Nothing good comes out of that place.

i'm  still  watching  these  scammers.......

(  many  numbers  have  already  been  " disconnected"  once  the  scams are  caught etc  )


please   BEWARE  that   they  are impersonating    several  US  GOV'T    agencies /  departments and  officials......

one  latest report  is a  13  year  old  getting a  call thanking  her   for  filing  her  latest  tax  return.......just  forward  $250.00  via  western  union  to  receive  a free   gift   (  ipad ).....

yikes !!

A bunch of African pests called me spoofing numbers from this area code. One of them said God bless you as well. Lying to people and saying God bless you at the same time. Truly [***].

It gives them an argument to use with the eternal gatekeeper when they die:

Scammer: "Yes, I defrauded widows and orphans, but I always ended the call with a blessing. Since an act of contrition followed every offense, technically speaking, you can't cast me into the pit."

Eternal Gatekeeper: "I hate it when this happens, but you're absolutely correct, I can't"

Scammer: "You can't? Really? I can't believe this worked. This is fantastic! My final and greatest scam !  "

Eternal Gatekeeper: "Mine too."

Scammer (falling into the pits of Hell): "aiiiiieeehhhh!"

Eternal Gatekeeper:  "Have a blessed day!"

Justice served in a Divine manner. It’s a bit harsh and those that harm others are too busy harming others thinking they won't get caught or punished for their bad deeds :-)

Does anybody know how to get these people? I've been getting calls from 202-239-6000  and it's a little discomforting because when I pick up, nobody answers from their end. I'm starting to think it's a prank call but I looked up the phone number and there have been several posts from recipients saying it's a telemarketing company. Can anybody check on this phone number?

Here is another 202 scam number to add to the list.

They call me on my land line, every day at different times.  One time, a few days ago,  I answered it, and it was a recording saying

"This is your Captain Speaking", and then bla bla about winning some prize.  I hung up before the recording was over.
