It's a SCAM!!!! westgate contacted my FAMILY members in about March. Not me, and left messages basically stating that i was reported to them and i wrote a bad check they were investigating it.. Wanted a statement. SCARED me. I called Westgate arbitration back. She told me she was mediator, that i wrote a bad check with quick cash a payday loan since when they withdrew money from me and i had insufficient funds. Legal action would be b taken from the deleware bank. I stupidly paid westgate over 1000 on a 500 loan. DAYS later i realized they broke plenty of FDCPA laws so i called a lawyer they told me it was a SCAM the not to give them$$$. I called my bank reported fruad. Then called QC & Quick cash  told me that they arent based in deleware and westgate sounded like a scam.
YOU SHOULD call your payday loan place and see who they sold your loan to, then call the buyer and see if they sold the loan. Im sure it won't end with westgate.

Someone recently called me blocked in mid August starting they just left my residence and they were trying to serve me but he was being nice and i should call a number so i could call a number and pick my court date. With so little info i called not knowing what it was about. The lady tried to get me to pay, said that there would be legal action and harsh consequences if found guilty.  That i paid westgate but the bank stopped the payment. She pressured me to pay but i told her i would call back. I looked on casenet and saw nothing. if Someone is serving me it should be and wasnt the sheriff. THEN CALLED QUICK cash again and they said although i signed forms THEY never had me sign anything saying that they would take legal action if i wrote a bad check.

Depends what you mean by "trying to serve me papers". Did someone show up at your door? Or did someone phone you *saying* they were going to serve you papers? If it's a phone call from someone saying you're going to be served it's a scam: When you're really being sued no one lets you know in advance you're going to be served!

You could have read prior comments in this short thread to give you a strong hint.

I have read all of these posts and thank you all for your input and feedback. The one major issue that I didn't hear mentioned is that they are  calling my friends and relatives and giving them all this information about me, the reason they're trying to locate me and all the lies regarding serving court papers, summons, etc. My friends are calling me telling me everything they are sharing with them. Of course the reason they're doing it is so they will call me, which obviously US working. I know this US a serious violation of some privacy a law.
