- Bob JohnsonKeep getting calls from this number, no voice mail though and have not picked up. Further research looks like it may be a number belonging to the Oregon Symphony.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- atb| 2 repliesI got a call from this number several months ago (late summer/early fall 2007). The caller did identify himself as being with the Symphony and made a pitch for buying season tickets. He was very nice until I mentioned I was paying for a wedding and not able to even think about the Symphony at that time, he ended the call abruptly at that point.
They have started calling again in the past week - NUMEROUS calls - but I recognize the number at this point and just ignore them. Not really a tatic I'm expect from a legit/prestigious organization like the Oregon Symphony... - atb replies to atb| 1 replyObviously not proofread, that last sentence should read: "Not really a tactic I'd expect from a legit/pretigious organization like the Oregon Symphony."
- cajeba replies to atbI've gotten on their call lists before just from having purchased a single ticket; I got removed from their list, but they seem to have added me on again. Really irritating. Makes me not want to purchase tickets for their events again . . .
- kthornI have the same problem with these people. I have asked multiple times to be removed from their list. The most recent time they simply hung up on me. Extremely irritating.
- PacoHi have been getting calls from them for months. I too don't answer the phone and I wish they would stop calling. However, from posts above it doesn't sound like they listen to you.
- Symphony| 1 replyThe Oregon Symphony absolutely respects your right to privacy and a peaceful evening at home. I would like to apologize to anyone who feels they have not been responded to appropriately and we are always looking to improve our customer service. If you wish to be removed from receiving phone calls, please answer the phone and tell the caller right away that you wish to be removed from the call list.
If you need to speak to a symphony representative, please contact the Symphony at 503-228-4294 and ask for Sarah or Laura or you can e-mail symphony@orsymphony.org.
Thank you and happy holidays - Sarah Rooney, Director of Individual Giving.- Caller: The Oregon Symphony

- Amanda replies to SymphonyI just tried that address and it said it can't be reached
- g| 1 replyWeak, they called me again, and I'm also on the Do Not Call List.
- Caller: Oregon Symphony
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- JWThey've called twice in the last month despite three emails asking to be removed from their lists. Suffice to say I will not be patronizing the Oregon Symphony any longer.

- This Biscuit replies to gYou should call them again, then, and ask them if they have numerous customer IDs listed under your name. If they do, ask them to put them ALL on do-not-call.
This is only a hunch. I used to telemarket for San Francisco Symphony (don't kill me!) and this problem would come up a lot. The thing is, whenever a patron would buy something (like a ticket), a new customer ID would automatically be created for them in our database. This makes it hard to put them on do-not-call when we're really only canceling one of the IDs under their name.
So, yeah, try this, and I apologize if it doesn't work.
