- jim| 2 repliesCaller, from this number, calls frequently during day, does not answer and stays on the line for a minute or two, sometimes and sometimes hangs up immediately. Robglob is on the caller I.D.
- MeekCalls me claiming to be with Platinum Plus Rewards having to do with my Mastercard. They ask for me by name, tell me my shipping address (which is also my billing address) to verify, and even know the last 4 digits of my card. They tell me that I've been a great customer and they want to send me a free gift. The only catch is, I have to pay for them to send it to me. Now I might have fallen for this if not for one detail. I've had the card since 1998 and only had the number they are calling on a year. The number they are calling is in no way related to any of my credit cards as I use my cell phone number to handle all of my business. I get this call from a few numbers and they are all the same pitch. The cost to ship my "gift" is anywhere from $1 - $6.
THIS IS A PHISHING CALL. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. THEY TELL YOU THE LAST 4 DIGITS SO YOU THINK THEY ARE LEGIT. THEN THEY TALK YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR CARD INFO TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING OF YOUR "GIFT." ONCE HEY GET YOUR INFO, I WON'T BE LONG BEFORE YOU ARE A VICTIM OF A FEW FRAUDULNT PURCHASES.
TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST AND NEVER CALL AGAIN. - J KrufThis number was calling me approx. 10 times a day. I finally answer to let them know I wanted to be taken off the list. After the woman finished her pitch (wouldn't let me interupt) I informed her that I did not want any gifts and the card they are calling on is a debit card and not platinum!!! She threatened me by stating she would charge my card $100 is I did not comply with her request!!! I couldnt believe what i was hearing. This is a scam to get your info...no legit company would allow an employee to speak like this. I asked for her name and she hung up on me. Good news I have not heard back since this incedent on Saturday afternoon.
- J dawggot a call from them today, didn't answer it since its not an area code I am familar with, they didn't leave a message since I didn't let to go to VM. This is the first and hopefully the last.
- J manSame as all the above people, yep a scam, about 20 calls in total. I'm trying to figure out how to get off the list but no luck. The first calls, I was respectful nice and polite, then after a while I was rude. Now, I have fun with them, I ask them personal sexual questions, its kinda fun.
They call once with a automated call, checks to see if you answer, then some person from Indian. They have called from 6262378241, 6262738240, 6262738237, 6198018144, 6198018144 and others lol. Any ideas. - DynoboxCalled my at 9:48pm which makes it that much more annoying. I've gotten about a dozen calls this week from this and similar numbers. No voice on the other end when I pick up and disconnects right away.
- EisforThis number has called me at the most ridiculous hours! I answer and they say nothing - even if I talk to them! They harass me and call me up to 15 times a day, regardless of me telling them to take me off their list. I wish there was somethign I could do. I have never given my CELL PHONE number out on the internet EVER! It's horrible.
- Caller: unknown
- TahniI answered once but no one was on the other end. It was quiet for a second and then I heard the phone disconnect. I called back to figure out what was going on and it was an automated voice message that said if I pressed "1" I'd be taken off their calling list. Now calls are coming from a different number, and it's absolutely driving me nuts.
- thereseThese people have called me from three different numbers. The third time that I had to tell them to take me off of their calling list, I finally asked for a supervisor. The lady refused to put me on with her supervisor and started yelling at me, telling me that if I wasn't interested in the free gifts that I should just give them to a friend. She was so obviously unprofessional that I knew it must be a scam.
- MikefromAlabama replies to jimI relieved this call today at 8:55 pm and when she started her spiel I hung up then she called me back asking me why I hung up. Can you believe that.
- RobCalled 5 times within 3 hours. I asked for them not to call back. the person on the line was rude.
- BobI've received multiple calls from this company. Sometimes there is someone on the other end trying to get me to sign up for something, and sometimes it's dead air. I contacted the phone carrier and found out that the company is Telephone Management Caller ID, LLC. Their primary phone number is 866-225-1956. The company email address is dnc@tmcallerid.com. More information is available here: http://www.everycall.us/blog/2008/11/digitcom-services-helps-fight-abusive-telemarketing/
I recommend that everyone file a complaint with the FCC about this company.
Thanks,

- mustangThese people have called three times saying they have the last four digits of our Visa card. They are argumentative when I won't let them speak to my husband until they tell me who they are or when I tell them to stop calling they yell at me. The callers have heavy foreign accents and tell me that we are a prefered customer and they have a special gift for us. Until today I could not get a number on my caller ID.
- Caller: Rothglob
- Mhave been called several times by this number and by 626-273-8237. I assume they are related. I never answer but am annoyed by the call frequency per day! If I press re-dail it dials to a local# with a 626 exchange which is a residence in which the homeowner is confused why people are calling her back to be taken off a calling list. she recieves about 50 calls a day from angry people like us...which has to be just as annoying as recieving the sales call!
- MeCalls from Rothglob 626-273-8240
Telemarketing? - GirlThey started calling me this morning at about 8:00 and have called every hour on the hour since then. I answered a few times and it was just noise and then the calls were disconnected. I finally answered about 10 minutes ago and some woman with a foreign accent tried to tell me that since my VISA account giving me my last 4 digits is in good standing. Well not only is this card a debit card, but it goes through my bank, so there is no third party reward system for a keeping a debit card in good standing. When she asked to verify my address, which she knew as well, I freaked out and said "how do you have that information?" I said I did not want anything from them and she hung up the phone. If they call again I'm not sure what to do. the numbers were 6262738240 and 6262738237
- RoninI'm getting calls from this number - 626-273-8240 - NONSTOP, day and night! It's possibly a spoofed number, as many calls from this area in Cali are actually being bounced out of India & the Phillipines through a system similar to Skype. Oh, and don't believe for a second that your Land or Cell phone provider can't track it back to it's ACTUAL location. They can! It's just a matter of if they really want to be bothered with it & how much you pressure them to do it. Threats of legal action rarely work, but filing an actual complaint & seeking legal actions seems to work wonders to get them to get off their [***] to trace it back to it's place of origin.
In my case though, everytime I answer, they hang up instantly.
No machine, no person, just dead air, then it disconnects.

or call them at 310-358-7000 / 800-464-5446
In what I've read so far on here and other places in regards to this number, it seems to be attempted credit card fraud, and getting as much information as you can to report it is very necessary.
I would suggest reporting it directly to:
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
and also to:
https://secure.nclforms.org/nficweb/nfic.htm
also contact:
http://www.transunion.com/
http://www.equifax.com/
http://www.experian.com/
instantly and let them know what's possibly happening.
Once you place the fraud alert in your file, you're entitled to order one FREE copy of your credit report from each of the three consumer reporting companies immediately, and if you ask, only the last four digits of your Social Security number will appear on your credit reports from now on.
If one of your CC accounts shows fraud, have them close it immediately and issue you a new account number.
Sooner or later, if enough people complain and/or sue over these type of scams, the companies will have no choice but to act or risk losing all of their customers.- Caller: 626-273-8240
