- AMANDA replies to kk| 2 repliesWere you online searching for a school? If you entered into a site to better your education they can get it that way as well. Or were you online and it asked you to choose some items to get coupons or a prize? I was able to speak with someone for 16 mins. It was a school here in Atlanta Georgia. I was invited to check them out.
- telemarketers-r-scum replies to AMANDA| 1 replySee if you find a school where they teach you where your CAPS LOCK key is.
In the meantime, maybe you should go back to the boiler room instead of trying to run your FILTHY SCAM on here. - sick & tiredThey have kalled me 5 times within the last 2days its gettin really annoyin!!! - annoyedWe got a similar call this evening on our cell--just dead air, no one there. It's annoying (and illegal) to have to pay for a telemarketing call, but even worse when there's no one to yell at.
In case you're interested, this number is actually run by College Connect based in Oregon, and its president is Steve Bodine (steve@collegeconnect.net, 503.544.9695 [sorry, only could find the "public" email/phone for CCI]). Their corporate HQ is at 9635 SW WASHINGTON ST, PORTLAND, OR 97225.
I bet Steve would like to hear your complaints directly. Or perhaps you could complain to the colleges that use his service?

Univ. of Miami - TonyI called it back....it is
www.ONECOLLEGECONNECTION.COM have no idea who they are but if you filed a DNC with the FCC it takes a few minutes online to file a complaint with them....its worth it. - call center rep replies to telemarketers-r-scumhey you try to find a good paying job in this economy that pays you more than $10.00 per/hr just to call ppl and then you talk, all these telemarketers receive their information from one or two things
1. ppl interested in FURTHERING their EDUCATION!!!!!
or
2. YOU were too DUMB to actually put personal information online for a job or prize winning website that ask you if you want to FURTHER YOUR EDUCATION, obviously you DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB, therefore you ACTUALLY NEED to further your education, and you needed our assistance anyway.
some people are actually doing this for a living, and taking care of their families with the money that these companies pay them in a FAILING ECONOMY so next time you wanna make assumptions make sure you do your research, they actually help people, believe just as much as you DO NOT want them calling you they DO NOT want to CALL YOU, they are getting paid and thats why they do it, they need money just as much as you!!!! - TinaI received a call twice from this company, educationready.net. I called back and the menu options allowed me to add my telephone number to a do not call list. I also went to the company website and re-entered my telephone number to the do not call list.
Here is the website:
http://www.educationready.net/index.aspx- Caller: Educationready.net
- MicNumber 6782536225 called me, i answered.
Me: "Hello?"
Man on the other end: "Hello, is Todd available?" (todd is my step dad who lived with me for three months last year)
Me: "Um, no. But can I take a message?"
And the little bugger hung up!
I called back with my home phone and it was unable to complete the call. called with my cell phone and it told me i was out of minutes which is funny cause i dont use minutes with my cell. - allieWell I have received numerous phone calls from this number and no voicemail. So for the comments a few above from "call center rep" maybe losing the attitude and trailer trash language calling someone dumb, and have some professionalism. If someone calls from a reputable company a voicemail should be left. People understand these are peoples jobs but if companies are to be taken seriously you do not call at 8 or 9pm....extremely unprofessional, as well as not honoring request from the individuals that are being called, if they want to be taken off the list it should and needs to be honored.
I can say I have never clicked on those "cheap win a prize" games and have never clicked on "find a better education" so these calls are not legit and neither is any company that's trying to sell anything at 9pm at night and not leaving a voicemail after 10 calls per day.
And last make sure you do your research as to how to run a proper professional legitimate company. - MLAnswered it because I have a cousin that lives in the area code and he got a new phone. Some college connection thing. Personally I'm 48 years old and don't need college and my number is unlisted and I have never entered it in anything online.
So how would they have got it? - MichelleI received a couple of calls over the last few months but they come in a series, one call then 30 mins later another and so on, then they stop for awhile. It annoys me but I have a thing about getting business type calls after 7pm, NO! The only people that should call after that time are family and close friends. It's harrasment and annoying.
- greg winelandcalled twice. first time last night. We did not get to phone in time; left no message.
Today called and when answered, male voice asked for Greg. When i said he wasn't here and could I take a message he said, "No thank you." and hung up.
