    Actually I have reported them to the FCC to handle. The best way to provide all the information needed for the FCC to process your complaint is to complete fully the on-line complaint Form 1088. The Form 1088 first asks you to select the specific telemarketing activity that you are complaining about, then directs you to a section of the form that asks specific questions relevant to that activity. If you do not use the on-line complaint Form 1088, your complaint, at a minimum, should indicate:

    your name, address, e-mail address, and phone number where you can be reached;

    the phone number where you received the call, and whether this number is on the national Do-Not-Call list; the date and time of the call;
    whether the call advertised or sold any property, goods, or services;
    any information (including a caller ID number) to help identify the individual or company whose property, goods, or services were being advertised or sold, and whether any of this information was provided during the call; whether you or anyone else in your household gave the caller permission to call; whether you have an EBR with the caller (specifically, whether you or anyone else in your household made any purchases of property, goods, or services from the individual or company that called, or made any inquiry or filed an application with the individual or company prior to receiving the call); and

    whether you or anyone in your household previously asked the caller or individual or company whose property, goods, or services are being advertised or sold NOT to call, and when you made the request.

    Yes, I get the same message every weekday anywhere between 10:00-11:00.  I did originally press the "one" to see what they wanted and they had me on hold for about 3-5 mins.  I got frustrated and hung up.  I'm not sure if that is what put me in the loop for return phone calls.  I am like you and have no collection agency after me.  This is my company phone, so I guess I will let my Tech Services know and let them deal with it.

    I also get a call from this number too. They call about 4 times a day. It's said from MCS.  I did add my number on do-not-call list. They still call day and night.

    I got a call today but didn't call them back. I don't have any collection accounts and I verified my Credit Report to make sure. According to their website:

    Questions and comments from consumers should be directed to:

    Vice President of Operations
    Shaun Lucas
    Ext. 4009
    slucas@montereyfinancial.com

    I found his contact info on their website - http://www.montereyfinancial.com/contact.asp

    A person that works at Monterey Finacial has called my home saying they are another company and given out information to my mother-in-law. Which breaks the Fair Debt Collection Act. Collectors are not to give any information out to anyone other than you.She was very rude to my mother -in-law and called her a liar when she tried to tell them she wasn't my wife.

    I'm also on the National AND Local Do Not Call.  This is fine for legit telemarketers but the scammers can damn well do what they want.  I report EVERY number who calls me on the national DNC list EVERY time.  They've been pulling this crap for up to 2 YEARS?? (according to this board).

    I let it go to voicemail, which deters 99% of these jokers.  These idiots left a recording that kept saying  "You have an important call from MCS.  Please press 1 for a live representative."  NFW would I do that.

    Phone rang.  Picked it up. Robodialer put me on hold for 3 minutes after I pressed 1.  Rude girl kept asking if I was (my first name).  I asked her what it was about.  "You bought an item in April 2006 that you owe $70".  2006--over 4 years ago!!

    I asked her to send me paperwork.  "We did already."  When?  "April, 2006".  I asked again for paperwork.  She began yelling that since I wasn't going to pay it anyway, why send paperwork.

    I don't know about you, but I don't remember whether or not I paid a bill over 4 years ago.  How do I know this collection agency doesn't have wrong information?  Or that the bill wasn't paid and posted wrong?

    Besides that, it's against the law to demand immediate payment without proof that the debt is owed.  Next step--contacting their legal department.

    They call daily for the past 2 weeks (weekdays only) - automated message (even when the answering machine picks up). They ask you to press one to speak to someone. Keep you on hold, telling you your call is important, then after a few minutes they tell you no available people to talk to you, so ask you to leave your name and number. Ya right!
    Don't have any outstanding debts, so not sure why they are calling. They obviously don't want to talk to me or else they'd say something when I picked up the phone, not just give me an automatic message.

    Mine says ' this is a phone call from monerey please return our call today regarding an important matter at 18777753080. Called it back the first time out of curiosity was put on hold for 5 minutes, I hung up. Everyday like clockwork 12:40-1:00 except Sundays . I have no debts and if it were that important a real person can call me. Odd because it's on my house phone, recently put in and not used very often.

    I have been harassed by these people once or twice daily for at least the past two months. They say "you have an important message from MCS' and for me to press 1. I want these people to stop. Seeing them sent to prison would be very satisfying.
