calling about personal matter

Taped message said that this was an important call - not a sales call or a solicitation.  Requested that I call 1-800-561-5695.

I check all unknown numbers before calling.  They usually end up being market surveys, sales solicitations etc...

Called message advised that this was IC Systems and then received little message about call being monitored for quality purposes. Phone rang thru and all customer service representatives were busy stay online. If this IC Systems is the same group as one I received a number of calls from then they are collections for Washington Mutual and they also use MD number (410)968-7953.

They are haters.  Rude/can't speak English.  Bad tempers.  you name it, they have it.  Very rude.

They called me on my cell phone, but the thing is.... i just got this number!!!  I didn't pick it up because i was at work (new job, can't answer the phone yet..) but when I check my voicemail all it says is,....

"...Erica David.  This is not a sales call, if you wish to hear this message, call..."

So did I get somebody's cancelled cell number and now I'm stuck with the telemarketing calls??

IC systems, calling on behalf of Washington Mutual.  Lena Hardin called, asked to speak with someone who was not home.  I asked to take a message, got her name, call back number, supervisor's first name, Kerissa, and when I asked for the supervisor's last name, Lena put me on hold and transferred me to supervisor Keith.  Keith would win the 'Worst Phone Manners' award in my book.  I asked what company he was representing and he told me it was Washington Mutual.

IC SYSTEMS. Say they work for Washington Mutual but the acct has long left Wa Mu's hands. They are a collection agency with many questionable tactics. They like to yell, call names and other rude behavior. If someone tells them that the person they are looking for is not at the number they called (and ask that the calls stop) they, at times, have told people 'too bad we will still keep calling'.

I have read complaints about this company and their means of collections for years now. Double-check that any acct they may be calling on is still within the statute to collect for your state.

I've never answered the phone, but I can attest to the fact that they verge on harrassment just by the sheer number of phone calls (no less than 4 calls per day, sometimes as high as 8 -- especially on weekends).

They will harass the crap out of you. If you owe them, don't let them threaten you. I am making a journal of how many times a day they call as well as what I tell them they can and can't do. I told them not to call me after 5 PM or my relatives and they still did it. You can sue these people. Here is a link I found really helpful. If you can't pay your credit cards, then you tell them that. They will offer you a settlement and you can chose tot ake it or not. If you can only pay $20 a month then you tell them that at least you are making an effort. These people have no right to harass you. Send a certified letter to tell them to only send you correspondants through the mail and you want no further phone calls from them because they have become harassing and threatening.

I have found that if you answer and tell them that you are recording them - they get pissed off (SUPER-DUPER-PISED OFF!) and hang up. I did this at work and they stopped calling. I did it at home and it stopped untill the account was sold to the next Company. Since then - I just answer and hang up never talking to anyone.
