call several times a day, then immediately hangs up

same crap get calls but no message, who is this?


I called it and it is WAMU Washington Mutual card services.

Hi, I just got a call from this number this evening: 11/02/2007 @ 8:45 PM Pacific Time, so as got this unknow call on my cell phone did not answer to wait for voicemail though no message...so I called back hiding my number and it said "welcome to Washington Mutual please enter your 16 digit account number...so knowing that it is a fishing call I entered a 16 times 1 and did not accept so I waited and repeated the question two more times and finally asked for my 9 digit SSN number! Of course this is absolutely impossible as no legitimate company or bank will ask that or if they ask it will be only the last 4 digits! so I still waited to in order to see what happens next and finally a human voice and this voice asked the same thing again so I told them that I will report their number to police tomorrow and will aslo repport this number to Washington Mutual directly! DO NOT GET TRAPPED ! DON'T GIVE ANY DETAILS TO SUCH KIND OF PHONE CALL! IF IT HAPPENS AND NOT SURE GET THE BANK NUMBER YOU USUALY USE AND CALL THEM AND VERIFY OF GO TO BRANCH DIRECTLY, IT IS WISE AND SAFE TO AFFIRM THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE ANY DETAILS TO ANY CALLS YOUR RECIEVE!

They just ask if people are here, and refuse to leave a message, then just say they will call back later.

They keep calling any time of day and night and it is getting very annoying! There is never anyone on the other end and they never leave a message! I actually stopped answering the phone when I see a Texas number come up on the ID Caller. There is a total of 19 phone numbers that keep on calling me from Texas. I want these people punished and or prosecuted or both to the fullest degree! They are harassing us each and every day of our lives and it MUST STOP!!

Calls all times of the day every day. message on cell "someone will be right with you", no way of knowing who called and who to call back. Until I googled the phone number.
But in our case we DID have an account with them. BUT they refuse to straighten out our account and refuse to listen. Every time we talk to them they say "there have been no notes on your account regarding any prior phone calls or arrangements" This is the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with, through HOmeShoppingNetwork HSN. I will never buy from HSN again and never Use Washington Mutual Credit cards!!  BEWARE!! Harassing phone calls, BEWARE!!! Unprofessional employees BEWARE!!! Lost credit card sent to wrong address BEWARE!!!!

I have had several phone calls from this number 817-524-0916 and 817-524-0902 and 817-524-0908 and 817-524-0899 and 817-524-0905 just to give a phone numbers coming from either Arlington, TX or it just says Texas on the caller ID. This [***] needs to stop. I get phones from 6:30a.m. up to 9:00p.m., stop calling my house, what happened to having safety/security and a peace of mind from a bunch of little third graders.

Calls repeatedly and won't leave message.

this number calls CONSTANTLY!! with a slightly different variation each time so i cant block it. I always argue with them about who they are and tell them Neither I nor my mom are stupid , but still they call at least 8 times a day everyday!!!
how the hell can i stop this????
