No one talking just heavy breathing and then a hang up

The number used to be 1-800-555-1212 and it was a phone company like verizons 411 information number. now when you google it it comes up with all sorts of companies with the same phone number

they call and just breath in the phone. they called 8 times in 45 minutes.

They called and said they were from a protection agency and that they wanted to refund my money from companies that stole money from me. Which as far as I know no money has been taken recently. They read to me my old address and also claimed that they knew my bank account number and wanted to verify it with me so they could send me the money. I told them I didn't feel comfortable giving my information over the phone and right away they hung up.

okay this is the craziest company. what the heck. i don't want to cuss but i have just about had it with this company. They previously took 398 dollars and again another 396 dollars from my account. even though i said i was not interested. The moment i picked up the phone and as soon as they know that i have a bank account, they try to take money out of my account. I tried to call them and check if they had proof of me giving them consent to take money out and they let me listen to a recording and they had a voice that did not sound like mine at all giving them consent to take money out. Basically, they scamed me out of my money.

I get calls several times a week from "securecheck" wanting to speak with my father-in-law. He is elderly and has onset dementia, and has been scammed out of money over the past years. He must have given this caller my number. They are rude or hang-up when I ask any questions. I have repeatedly asked them to remove me from their call list with no luck. I'm going to try and block calls from this number.

I get calls several times a week.  No messages left and cannot return calls.  Any idea how to make it stop?

this person on the other end asks for this guy named seth and when i ask him to not call for the simple fact i am not seth thiey just hang up and call a few weeks later like there gonna get a diffrent result they have been doing this since i had this phone numberwhen i reversed directory it it turned out to be http://www.newjerseywastedisposal.com/ i dont know if this is correct because it lists this as there phone number on superpages 908-313-9888  but shows these guys when you put in the 866-555-1212

These people have called 13 times since the 3rd of August on two different numbers, both of which are on the "Do Not Call" list. There's never anything on the message but static (which sounds like heavy breathing). They are obviously scammers or very disreputable marketers using autodialers.  If I can ever get them to answer, I'll post here and in other places regarding who they are.

They left a detailed message with a phone number and web link . They want you to verify all your information with them. Sounds like a scam...They are saying they need to verify for "code red " for the city.
My sister is a police officer,I am going to ask her if this is a scam going around. It sure sounds like a scam..........

Dude, your an idiot, why would you give someone your account info over the phone?  Anyhow, I just got a call from them today, I didn't answer, I will be blocking the number with my VoIP service so they can't get through again.

They called and didn't say anything. then said "press 1...blah blah blah...something"...static couldn't hear all of it...which I didn't then said "thank you for calling". I called back from another phone and it said "were sorry you dialed a number which cannot be reached from your calling area"

caller ID spoof......no doubt a scam....................!!!!!!!!

This number calls my private residence often. Pick up the phone, no one is there.

It certainly was April fool's when they called at 0331 -I was listening to our President speak live in Portland and caller ID lets me know who is calling -so I took the call but hung up on them-seeing there is a rash of these calls plus e-mails-hanging up and hitting the spam button seems to be the only thing to do!

I called them back, it was busy.  Maybe they are breathing heavy because they just keep calling people all day long...and by the time they actually get somebody that is willing to talk to them, they are out of breath.  Those poor [***]!
