Leaves messages on my message machine that says " Sorry to disturb you this message was meant for a message machine"
I presume that is harrassment, two such messages today already.
There is a difference between a sneaky conniver and an absolute idiot whom leaves THAT recording on my answering machine.
Perhaps she's a witch, saying things backwards like that either way there is no real legitimate nor lawful reason for harrassment calls.- Caller: Fulton Friedman and Gullace LLP 130 N. Central Ave. Ste 200, Phoenix AZ
- Raymond (raybje@hotmail.com) replies to jtgoose| 3 repliesit dont matter, the information you provided when you got credit frm them is what they will use to get in contact with you. By law, as long as they dont disclose info about the debt ect., They can call, I was looking for a fax number for Fulton Friedman and Gullace LLP and came upon your posting so i am responding. My name is Raymond and i work for a debt settlement company in NY.... If they call you at work or home or family house or what ever, just simple read the below (copy and paste) and then simply hang up...............
When a creditor or collection agency calls, it is suggested that you say the following;
(Please be advised, I would like all calls to Cease & Desist. Please update your database to reflect this request. If you ignore this request, I will be forced to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office in my state).
Please be advised, although state and federal regulation laws require collection agencies and other third parties to follow Cease & Desist request, creditors reserve the right not to abide by this request.
Creditors and Collection agencies will try to keep you on the phone to intimidate you and use scare tactics to alter your focus with our program.
Creditors and Collection agencies will advise;
We do not work with settlement companies
We did not get your letters
You have to talk to us
We wont settle etc…
Simply advise, (I do not want to be rude, but I am hanging up now). - vincent cirellireceived a letter on march 18th left several messages no one has called me back.

Fulton, Friedman and Gullace, LLP
130 N. Central Ave. Ste 200
Phoenix, Arizona 85004
Dear {insert name of collector or company},
I am writing in response to your (letter or phone call) dated {insert date}, (copy enclosed) because I do not believe I owe what you say I owe.
This is the first I've heard from you, or any other company on this matter therefore, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809(b): Validating Debts:
(b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.
I respectfully request that you provide me with the following information:
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) Provide a verification or copy of any judgment (if applicable);
(4) Proof that you are licensed to collect debts in (insert name of your state)
Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:
Because I have disputed this debt in writing within 30 days of receipt of your dunning notice, you must obtain verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against me and mail these items to me at your expense; you cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.
You do not have to respond to this dispute but if you do, any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA.
Also be advised that I am keeping very accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company including recording all phone calls and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.
I have disputed this debt; therefore, until validated you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB) then, you must immediately inform them of my dispute with this debt. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.
Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.

Have been unable to contact them reguarding weather this debt is cleared. Spoke with Daren who was checking, never had a response back from him. Sheriff's Department not sure where money was sent. - Jay replies to lkhAlways dispute it. Simply write them a letter using whatever reference# is noted on the letter they sent you.
"I am writing in response to a letter I received ref #******* concerning a debt. I have no knowledge of this debt, nor am I responsible for it. Any further correspondence is to be limited to written correspondence only." Anytime you dispute a debt they have to cease all collection attempts until they prove the debt is valid. The part "about written correspondence is to protect you in case they try to say "we were told not to contact the individual so we had not way of informing him that we were continuing to try to collect".
Good luck. Pull up the fair debt collection practices act. It helps to know your rights. - JAY replies to Emily ClarkThis is a hard lesson to learn, SEND ALL PAYMENTS TO DEBT COLLECTORS VIA UPS OR SOME SIGNATURE RECEIPT ONLY. that way you have proof it was recieved. you should also send certified check or money order only. nothing with your account info on it
- NOT Who They are Looking ForI continually receive calls from this number looking for a woman who used to have the number. We moved into this area 7 months ago and subscribed to phone service. We know that old phone numbers get recycled and unfortunately we received this person's old number. Most of the debtors have stopped calling, except this one. This isn't even our debt. It isn't even her phone number anymore. Anyone have suggestions on how to get them to stop calling us looking for her? I've told them it isn't her number anymore, they keep calling. Daily. For the last 7 months.

- Lee AnnThis scaming law firm [***] call me every day and I refuse to answer the calls. Yesterday the [***] said hello 2 times on answering machine. Another time they left me message saying exact thing mentioned by others in above posts. Another time they left me a bizarre phone number.
I refuse to answer unknown numbers or names. They will not get nothing out of me because I am not who they want and I owe nothing to those scheming [***]. I wish they will stop calling because they ain't gonna get nothing from me. - JacobToday I got two silent calls on my cell phone from this number that I've never seen before. They called a third time, too, but by that time I was fed up and didn't bother picking up.
- R. Harris| 1 replyThese people who ever they are, Constatly call my phone and send me threatening letters. When I called the (866)-563-0809 number, some rude ghetto [***] chick answered and refusd to put a supervisor on the phone. She then proceeded to be even more unprofessional when asking me for my social security number which I then refused t give up. So I basically told her that if they contact me again by mail or phone that i would call the Attorney Generals office as well the better business bureau on their sham of an operation. I've never seen someone get off the phone that quick. Please be warned: Do Not Give Them your S.S.#. These people ar fishingfor your personal info so they can make false judgements against you and ruin your credit and your life. Don't get scammed!
