- PennyLooked up this number online, because I got a piece of mail about reducing my debt via the Economic Stimulus Act of 2009. Also something about reducing tax debt & insurance. Looks official, but is probably another scam. No return address.
- Steve| 4 repliesgot an official looking notification in the mail today regarding "Economic Stimulation Act of 2009". Gave me a case number, only return address was on the inside.

Have no proof this is legitimate. Shredding it too! - Gary M| 1 replyI received a notice in the mail from this company. I am already enrolled in a debt settlement plan and am very happy with the results. I did a lot of research on debt settlement companies and finally found one that is A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau, FreeStar Financial. If you need help with credit cards call them.

I called earlier and spoke with a customer service rep. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to provide me with information that helped me track down and check their credibility. If the BBB says its a good business I'll probably end up using them in the next week or two... - NO GO| 1 replyReceived this in the mail:

- BAdams replies to Gary MDo you have a numer or wesite for FreeStar Financial? I get a number of responses when I google them and am not sure which one you are referring to.
- Missy| 1 replyI have received several letters from these people in the past couple of weeks. It's starting to get annoying. I can see people falling for this, since they make it look like a government thing.
On a related note, I am also enrolled in a debt consolidation program that I love. My best friend and my sister have also both used it. I highly recommend them, if anyone is looking to get out of debt with a reliable company.

- PMA replies to MissyBoy am I GLAD that I looked up this "business." I almost called the number. I might check out the company that Missy liked. Thanks everyone. We have to protect each other.
- sammy replies to NO GOI get letters like this all the time and I wish I could stop them, since I don't have any debt except one credit card with a $2,000 limit and I only owe around $450.00 My payments are never late. I have no need for a debt resolution. The last letter stated I owe $32,625.00, yeah that is so wrong. The other letters have given different amounts. Beware this is a total scam. I don't know what they are doing or how, but I do not owe that kind of money.
- Jen replies to SteveWhat a scam, I don't owe any credit card debt. This scum company sent me letters and when I called they must have caller Id because now they are constantly calling me. I am also getting calls from some
National Health Services stating my claims have been denied and I will have to pay for services. I think they must all work together or share false information with each other. So much for do not call list.
Do not call from your home phone they will never leave you alone. Why doesn't the government step in.
They make these things look so offical. I am not even sure if all of these inet post are legitimate. I can tell you this one is. - TMcI rec'd this too. I am already enrolled in Care One. They are awesome. They have done everything they said they were going to do and more. I went thru the listings of Credit Relief Companies too. I am shredding my very official looking notice from 1101 Pennsylvania Ave
- heidi replies to Stevethanks for all the postings. they really helped.. i had a suspicion this was a scam and it is.. no big surprise.. so thanks again..
- OscarHey everyone... From all the posts and information I have read about this debt relief thing, I noticed that they kind of change there letters a bit as time goes by. What I mean is that I read older posts on other sites with the same number and address but a bit of changing in letter content. One post says they got a letter (same address & number) and it was from the Debt Servicing Division. Another post says from Debt Resolution Division......etc....several changes in letter content... And I called the number and the first thing they ask me for to ''see how they can help'' was my social secutrity number, date of birth...etc....soooo yeah....kinda fishy.... just don't buy into it...
