Thanks to your posting I was saved from this scam.  I got the exact same email WORD FOR WORD!

We also got the ad r.e. the 2007 Honda for $4000, and almost fell for it.
We even called Minot AFB in N.D. and they said they had gotten about 13 calls this week r.e. Lt. Andrew Barnes and a Craig's list ad.  Thanks for the heads up from all of you.  Wish there was a way to warn everyone and to catch this guy.

I received the same email and the same scam. You would think that the idiot would use a different VIN#.

This [***] just almost got my fiance and I too...i had the money in my account and decided to google him before I called his command..........

he went by Lt. Andrew Barnes with me and it was the 07 Honda Civic.

I just saw the same thing on Craigslist for a 2005 GMC Yukon XL, price was too good to be true.
