This is a bogus number generated by a VOIP provider. I actually had a friend call me today and this number showed up on my caller ID. The connection was terrible. I called him back on his landline and he told me he'd been calling on a VOIP line. He was in Los angeles but I don;t know where the call is being generated from.

What is a VOIP?

This is not a currently used Area code. Strange.

Tired of this mess of endless junk calls from robots.  Lets get someone in office that will get the DO NOT CALL list back in service and put the scammers in prison forever.

called 3 times around 7:10 would not say eny thing

This  number 1-984-576-0219 have been calling my house for 2 mo. now can anyone tell me what going on I dont like recieved these kind of call at all it make me think some one is trying to recored me so they can still my voice and use it for some kinda skeem

I just got this call today.  Who do I report it to.

948-576-0219 = (948) 576 0219 - Called us this afternoon and evening (Feb. 25, 2008 from 5:02 PM to 9:24 PM) 11 (eleven) times! At the beginning their phone number showed up along with "OUT OF AREA" but later on they called us from "UNKNOWN CALLER". Sometimes the line sounded like a fax signal, but most of the time they call and don't speak. We ask them not to call our number anymore, but they immediately call us back, make some noise as if they are muting their speaker constantly, and we can hear some strong background noise. Probably some [***], but we enter them into this page for a legal record. Reported them to the Do Not Call List. Surprised they are still operating their [***] line.

Why don't you ALL go to www.donotcall.gov and report them???

This sounds like the same guy that is also hitting on my girlfriend on yahoo...I would love to talk to you further about this guy, he has my girlfriend believing that they are soul mates. Please email me great2bjules@yahoo.com

Why are you guys picking up numbers you dont know? It's probably a dialer trying to find out if the number is good - before posting you to 100 more lists. Do you think someones going to call telling you won a million dollars? Stop picking up numbers you don't know.

I got 6 missed calls from this number, (948) 159-0017 and when I tried to call back several times the line was busy.
