This number called today and stated that they are a fundraising campaign.  They wanted to know if I would listen to a brief message and then hold the line to take a short survey.   I said yes and then hanged up.  They are usually looking for donations.

They call incessantly, we don't answer.  I finally did today to tell them to take us off their call list but they asked for my husband and wouldn't talk to me.  They said they'd call back and tried to hang up quickly but is said, "Please don't!  We won't answer!"  

Is there ever going to be a way to get rid of all these unwanted calls?  The don't call list just doesn't work!!  I've had three different calls this morning and it's not even noon!

Received call from this number. Responded this way; "If you do not have a name you are not important, you do not have a name therefore you are not important." Then hung up.

Caller ID "Important". When will people realize that if the caller ID does not make sense, they should not answer the call. (Keep a list of friends' numbers that may generate IDs like Unknown Name anyway.)

there is a simple answer, I answer the phone stating "Attorney General Office, How may I direct your call" Never received any more calls after that. Worked wonderful with the Off Shore phone calls. There responds was" I'm sorry I must have dial the wrong number"  Also, you can try adding a business name with how may i direct your call.

I got a call just a few ago from this number.  My caller ID displayed "Important".  I didn't answer. Thanks for the above comments. They're helpful when the next one comes in...and it will.

fraud  scammers  from the  202  area  code:

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  free  money / scam  giveaways / humane  society  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

Someone from that number called my home yesterday. The caller id said "IMPORTANT" so it startled me. They asked for my husband. I politely said "He is unavailable. My I ask who's calling and take a message?" The lady replied "NO" and hung up FAST!

The number 202-367-9216 called again this a.m. The caller ID said "important" so I didn't answer. I have called and registered our number with the "Do not call list" but still get numerous calls. I wish telemarketers  would stop calling!

Got a call from this number earlier this afternoon. CID showed "IMPORTANT". They didn't leave any message so it must not have been "IMPORTANT". IDIOTS

They don't stop.  Terminator robocallers.  Give them money or you will be called incessantly, give them money and you'll be called more incessantly.  My solution, let them listen to 'Harvestor of Sorrow'.

I get the calls daily. I'm not home to answer but the number shows up in calls. No voice mail is left. If have to clear this number every day.

It is from the College Republicans Political Action (PAC)  Young college students trying to make a difference at the root of LIBERAL INDOCTRINATION INTOXICATION, the College.  Want real Change and Hope, Answer the call and help make a change at the root of the problem!

They actually set up their name to display on caller id as "Important"!  I make donations on my own....not because of someone harassing me!

Who knows?  Caller ID said "IMPORTANT," and since I knew that no one important could possibly want to talk to me, I let it ring.  No message, surprise!

Remember when Obama said that SuperPAC's were going to be the end of American politics?  Well guess who's leading in SuperPAC funds?  That's right!  Barry O!  Talks out of one side of his mouth and takes money into the other.

First clue you're a spammer? When you list your name for the caller id as "important." That's like a man trying to make up for a small unit.
