Have received a call from this number almost every day for 2+ weeks, i do not ans. (after checking caller ID). I especially wont answer after reading these..

Have received a call from this number every day for the past 2 weeks. Called the number and learned it belonged to the American Institute for Cancer Research. Want the calls to stop, but don't know how to make it happen. Number is not listed on the AICR Web site. My number is listed with Do Not Call Registry.

Received several calls on my Caller ID, then checked out (202) 367-9440 on an AOL Search which yielded similar responses that this is a scam.   Next time this number appeared on my Caller ID I picked up the phone and yelled "Rip-off".  They have not called back since April 9th.

Re: Call from 202 367-9440.  Whoever is calling from this number calls at least once/twice a day at all different hours but when I answer phone no one is there outside of a couple of times, people "talked" to my answering machine just asking to speak to me but they are "talking" to my message.  It is very annoying since these people, whoever they are,call early in the morning and after 8 at nite.

Calling daily - this morning before 9 a.m. How do I stop this?

Eureka! Just discovered that if if you press the button requesting more information that you get to a point where a voice asks if you want your number removed from their phone list. Enter your number and a voice says your number will be removed within 30 days. Stay tuned.

p.s. Also will report the number to the Do Not Call Registry at every opportunity for good measure.
