- Laura G. replies to Tammy| 1 replyI thought so, too as they weren't supposed to call before or after business hours! Can complain to FCC.
- BigA replies to Laura G.Hours to call are 8am to 9pm your time. However i doubt it is Dell calling but one of the tech support scammers spoofing a Dell caller ID.
- Annoyed| 1 replyThis is a SCAM. Windows or Dell will not call you. These scammers call in hopes of reaching someone who had recently bought a product or reached out to the LEGIT customer service about a problem. Personally, I just answer the phone in Russian if an unsaved number calls (and I save these scam numbers as "scam"). Another good idea is to claim to only have apple products, or if they refer to the windows software, pretend you think they're talking about actual house windows.
- Caller: "Dell" (Scam agency based out of India)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DM50315rla| 2 repliesThe caller from Dell said there was an account representative in the area that wanted to stop by. I told him we had our own Dell representative and if we needed something, we would call. He remained polite even though I was an [***].
- Caller: Dell
- DM50315rla replies to DM50315rla| 1 replyAs polite as Nimi from Dell was - I just got an email sent to my business' generic address. No where was there a Dell logo and the email looked....off. The account Rep he mentioned is not MY account manager - he's phishing for a contact name.
- MJ1997Got a message, some kind of financial service looking for someone that I have no idea... Sounds like a scam to me.
- Caller: ....financial service
- LeeIt is Dell, they were calling me because I filed a complaint against them with the BB over false advertising, price matching, and outright rude service.
- Caller: Dell
- ChoGot call, ignore call. Per others' posts it's supposedly from Dell support. I own only own mac books, (three to be exact)... why in the world are they calling me and no voice message was left? !

- CHUCK| 2 repliesI received 4 calls today , 4:35,,4:44,2 at 4:45pms , they said they are calling about a television,,I had no idea what they were talking about,,I noticed the # cause I called earlier about ink cartridges which I found out they no longer make,,printer is old,,,,don't they think that people have caller id's that we know who keeps on making these calls,,the person was from India, I am sure, cause he was speaking in broken English,,the number is Dell,,what type of people do they employ,,
- BigA replies to CHUCKDell like a lot of other companies outsources things to India where people there work for fractions of a cent. This is how they get all our information.
- I Love India| 1 replyI had just completed an online order for a replacement AC power adapter for my Dell laptop and had already received a confirmation email from Dell. When I saw the 800 number n Caller ID, I decided not to pick up. The "gentleman" who left a voicemail had a heavy Indian accent and said, "This is an important message from Dell Computer <garbled> Team. Please call 1-800-571-6<garbled>55 and my extension is 4161343. Your order number is <CLICK!>" Hopefully that means they haven't also hacked my email account. They must have a database mapping IP addresses to phone numbers because first they called the other phone number associated with my ISP account before they called the number I used to place my Dell order.
- Caller: "Dell Computer <garbled> Team"
- Great idea! replies to AnnoyedThis is a wonderful opportunity to practice foreign languages! Thanks for the idea!

- jgFirst call was legit to renew their concierge service. However after that call I received another showing Dell on my caller ID but this time they were asking for my credit card number and when I asked them what number they had on file they couldn't answer. Hung up
So some calls are legit and others are either hacked or are not legit. Go figure- Caller: Dell (maybe)

- smsGot a call at 6:21 AM, left no message. I don't think this is Dell. Its someone who is spoofing their caller-id. Perhaps they also stole an old Dell customer list. Haven't bought anything Dell in 12 years.
