- ScaredGot a call from this # and they claimed they were my health insurance company. I just got off the phone with them 5 minutes prior. As I was talking to the guy I googled the # and started reading these reports. I told him I just changed my plan ( I didn't) and what was the new member #. He gave me my member #. Wtf?! I told him that one was an old one. I then asked who he really was and he hung up. This is scary.

- nobodyAnswered and they were talking about credit card info. Sounds like a scammer using the Dell support number.
- MyraCalling me today to harass me in regards to sending my laptop in for repair after they sent a box that arrived Friday. It's been storming here since Monday and this area has been under a Tropical Storm Watch. The Dell employees that keep contacting me through social media and now by calling who live overseas don't seem to understand why I wouldn't want to send my laptop out in weather like this
- Caller: Dell
- Fedup ConsumerThis is a scam! Dell employees stole customer information and is using it to steal money from customers. Dell does not call you unless you request a call. And yes their customer service sucks, that is why it is so easy to believe that these scammers are actually Dell. If you get a call from someone claiming to be from Dell and you have not contacted them first, hang up and call the customer service number on the Dell website. They will try and trick you by faking the caller I.D. They will also leave you a voicemail or send you an email giving out the actually Dell number with a long extension. Do not call it. Report these scammers to Dell, the fcc, and ftc, although they won't do anything about it really. Most importantly: don't do business with Dell until the company gets it's house in order. his means better customer service, protecting customer privacy, finding and stopping these scammers, and computers that work!

- Lady SI received several phone calls from this number and did not answer since I know it is the scammers calling again. They tend to call on different numbers pretending they are Dell. I refuse to have anything to do with them. They are not Dell and not a one of them speaks English. They all have an accent.
- Caller: Dell
- ZaNobody was speaking. I receive call from this number frequently.

- John GaltCall came from a Dell number, and the lady claimed to be from Dell, which I had just ordered a laptop from Dell yesterday. Wanted some info, didn't feel legit, so I declined. Googled it, and sure enough, some Dell employees stole info and are now trying to scam customers. So beware, I answered because the number was a known Dell number, but apparently these scammers know how to spoof it.
- Caller: Posing as Dell
- NunyaI keep getting calls from this number, and I don't even own a Dell! Never have.
- GaryThis number is a fraud, trying to collect personal information after hacking Dell computer co's order system. Makes me afraid to order ever again!

- BillA guy named Gabriel called and said something about maintenance on my Dell laptop. He knew the model, so I guess it was really Dell calling, but this is a corporate laptop and I am supported internally. I don't know why he called me. Also, I could barely understand him as his voice was quiet, he had an accent, and there were a lot of people around him talking. He gave 800-456-3355 as the callback number, along with an extension but I couldn't even understand the extension number he spoke. He also mentioned an email address but I couldn't make that out either. Maybe he was in a call center where their job was to get people to sign up for a maintenance plan.

- Susan replies to RustyThis is coming from a hacker. They are attempting to catch people off guard. All of these calls are being computer generated. They are even using Dell numbers to get you to answer. DO NOT answer any unavailable telephone numbers or those that look strange.
My telephone records were recently hacked ultimately we got hacked, too. NO computer software company is going to call you out of the blue; not even ones you DO have a maintenance plan thru. Let them leave a message to allow you to call them back which isn't going to happen. I finally figured out it isn't telemarketers calling, it is hackers calling via a computer. Protect yourselves by not answering & tell everybody you know to do the same.
I turned my fax machine on so that is all they get & monitor my calls. - SusanI am receiving calls from hackers trying to deceive me into thinking it is from my computer maintenance company. They are nasty & relentless.

- dumbbunnyI find it curious that the day after I received a "virus warning" on my Dell laptop, Dell called my house. They didn't leave a message. I saw by caller ID who it supposedly was. The warning I received on my computer gave a phone number, which of course, I didn't call.
- Caller: supposedly Dell
- *Jordan calling to update the president of the company about some new information regarding the business account he has with them. I dumped her in VM because I very much doubt she actually works for dell.

- Veera Kanisetty| 1 replyI have called to Dell Tech Support of sudden crash of my Hard drive of laptop , i haven't completed a year yet , just 9 months of usage it gave me 3 times fault . 1st hardware failure - i have sent laptop to them and repaired it , 2nd OS software failure - remote resolved the issue , 3rd - hard disk failure , called actual dell tech support number after explaining this issue , they have disconnected my call and got call back from 800-456-3355 number. I have installed true caller , it was indicated that Spam-Dell. I was talking very carefully with them after knowing this. Stil i am not sure whether it is actual dell tech support or spam . Since they are asking me to send my laptop to repair from their end. I was using dell about 9 years multiple laptops , facing lot of issues now a days. I wouldn't recommend any one to buy Dell laptop any more now onwards. Worst service and product is not qualitative.

- MikeHuntleton replies to Veera KanisettyIt is Dell's "Large Enterprise & Public Sector basic support" 1-800-456-3355 and a legitimate number.Keep in mind, just because the number is legit, doesn't mean the caller is!
Scammers spoof legitimate numbers to trick people into a false sense of security to answer their calls and attempt to get money or personal information from you.
This is why no one will encourage others to report of legitimate numbers, as they only confuse people into believing it is a legit call when a scammer has called them and they come here to find out about the call.
If it is a legitimate call, then anyone receiving a call would know WHY they got a call from this number, right?
So what would be a reason to come and post about it to a site designed to share information about UNKNOWN callers, such as Telemarketers, Scammers and Debt Collectors?
If your call was legit, telling about it won't be any comfort to those who may get a spoofed call from some scammer!
