I get a call from these people and another collection agency calling me every day looking for someone else, obviously the person that had my phone number before me. Luckily I have a Digitone call blocker so they can't even ring my telephone and the call gets disconnected without me even knowing when the phone rang. I just assumed that after 4.5 years of these low life people calling me they would have given up by now and tried to find a number that will work for them, but they are very determined. I guess I'm going to have to send them a certified letter. That will probably work until they sell the debt again. Then I have to do that all over again. It's just easier to let the Digitone do it's job.

Don't count on it.

Have gotten calls and have been threatened with more calls if we don't give them information they want. We have no crerdit problems and this place is noted for scams. Don't give them anything. If they know you they don't have to ask.

I keep receiving 3-5 calls EVERY DAY from this phone number [(800) 900-1372], even late at night.  I'm sick and tired of receiving these calls and there is no one who answers the phone.  I press 1 to speak to somebody in English and am kept on hold for 20 minutes with a message that says, "Thank you for your call, your call will be attended to promptly."  I did not call them...they called me!

Call about some debt owed. I will not return call to this number after reading these reviews. It appears to be someone trying to steal my identify.

I love how Penn Credit keeps calling for something that was cancelled long before they started calling. They need to get their act together. Oh and leave a friggin message. Reporting to FTC for repeated calls and not identifying themselves.

Um yeah calling me for days.  I finally picked up said they were "Penn Credit" the older guy would not give me any further information.  RED FLAG.  Why would you not say the name of your company, the address, state your business.  He just kept asking for someone by their first name.  Second RED FLAG.  If this were a true debt they usually ask for the first and last name.  I am going to file this one under scam, mainly because we don't own anyone jack.  I realize times are hard,  but honestly at what point is it proven to be theft, when they show up with a gun to your head demanding money?  I fail to see the difference when they are trying to get information to steal your money.  Either way the result is the same;  theft.

They also go by "Penn Credit"  and when that stops working,  they will be "Acme BS company name".

They are fishing for personal information;  probably an identify theft ring.

Was it an actual ticket or a red light fee.  Real tickets go to warrant.  Red Light camera fees go to collection.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY.  Write a demand to cease calling.  The holder of a debt that is not the original holder can be subject to FTC prosecution if they containue after that.  It is the law!  They will keep calling until you just say stop and threaten a complaint to the FTC.

Sorry, telling them not to call you does NOTHING. They have been calling my phone number for years for people who never lived here or used this number. You cannot stop them. I have contacted FCC, etc. The calls stop for awhile then start up again. It's hopeless.
