I checked my Citicard online and a fraudulent charge had appeared. I called the number on the back of my card and sure enough, someone had hacked into my account and I had to close the account. Now I have to wait for a new card to arrive by Fedex.

they called and left a message, and when I called back the first thing they asked me for was my social security #,  of course I did not give it to them.  I do not have a Citi Card.  Also I have received two different calls in the past month saying that I have felony warrants out for my arrest and I went to police dept and they said it is a scam. the real problem is that they have my SSI, its really scary.

Got a call from Caller-ID 210-677-1346. The man said he was from Costco Visa and wanted to talk to someone who had my phone number. I said they didn't live here anymore. So he hung up. So I called the number on the caller-id and it said "Citi" and to call 800-950-5114. Nothing makes sense about this because these companies don't call you, they send you mail.

This number called me yesterday and kept asking me for all my visa and MasterCard and discover etc telling me they are trying to give a lower interest rates on my credit cards and needed more personal info to update my accounts and that they were CITI credit bureau and they contact me in 24hrs when the rates have dropped. I canceled all existing accounts and these jerks have been harassing nonstop so I have reported these numbers 18009505114,(319)225-2270,(276)7447571 to EQUIFAX

Got a call from this number. I didn't answer and got no voicemail. When I called back, an automated number asked for my "full credit card number or social security number." Sounds like shenanigans.

they called me from a different number and i didn't pick up but the message was weird it said to call the number 1800 950-5114

it happened to me too and i called citi with the number on the back of the card and they say that they dont call and ask for info like that
just be careful there's a lot of jack ass out there that trying to scam people all the time

Caller claimed to be from Cardmember Services. He INSISTED that I give him my CC information "so that he could verify my account and reduce my interest rate." When I refused, he told me that he "...was my father because he f****d my mother." He went on from there to embellish his claims. A real class act - just the sort of person to represent a business.
I called back using caller ID and got Citi Bank. I was told that they don't make outgoing calls from this number so there was nothing they could do to identify this person.
If it was my business being portrayed to the public like this I would find some way to do something about it. Apparently Citi is not that concerned about their image.
BE CAREFUL who you give ANY information to.

yes, it was Citi Card and I was asked for the credit card number.  Told them I don't have it.
Then, he asked for my SSN #, of course i did not give it to him.
Asked fof my name, and did not pull up any info on me.
Yeah, i don't even think i have a Citi credit card.

OMG -- legit? scam?

Got a call from recording asking me to press 1 to lower my interest rate. Thought cool I like lower interest rates. Guy with muddle eastern accent gives me his pitch. You pay your bills on time and even pay more than the minimum. Please " Give me your credit card number so I can finish your profile " wtf. So I asked him to give me my name since he knows I pay my bills and he wouldn't answer that simple question. On a recorded line giving my card number I would give him all my info and all my credit info. Beware, don't fall for this. The good remarks are more than likely made by the people using the nunber.

Got one this afternoon. No voicemail left. Glad I checked here.

Just received a call from this phone number, no message left. By the way I do not have a CitiBank Visa card so I think it ios a garbage call.

Telemarketer/Scammer still touting the age old lower credit card interest rate scam. CID showed "TOLL FREE CALL" and "1-800-950-5114". The number is spoofed. The number 1-800-950-5114 is a legitimate Citi Card (Citibank) customer service number for "Lost or Stolen Credit Cards or General Account Information."

Card Services wanting to reduce my Credit Card interest rates. They appear to be spoofing a legitimate Citibank customer service line, at least I hope so. They did not ask for my name or anything but wanted the Credit Card info ASAP. I told Bakland that my wife had it. He called me a SOB. I demanded a supervisor. Bakland stated that his supervisor was not available as the supervisor was busy engaging in relations with my wife. I asked for a manager but apparently the manager was busy having relations with my Mother In Law. In the end, I think it was a scam and I did not get my interest rates lowered on my credit card.
