solicitating for American Bible Society????????

The caller said she was from MDS, and asked me for money for the Navigators, which I have previously supported, so this was not an unwanted call for me. As far as I can tell, MDS Communications is a legit telemarketing company for non-profit organizations. I did a Google search for them, and http://www.mdscom.com/ seems to be their website. Like I said, I think this is an honest telemarketing company that calls people who have a prior relationship with the non-profit organization that hired them.

They don't leave a message.  I called back, was placed on hold for several minutes, and then told the party I was trying to reach was unavailable.  They never announced who they were.

After 4 rings I answered the call and it was just basically a recording because all I heard was a buzz noise---I looked it up and see that it is something to do with Bibles---don't know why they called---i think they shouldn't call when you are on the no-call list.

I've received several calls from this number and each time they ask for someone different.  I complained to the last caller and he said he was with St Jude and that he would remove my number...  Yeah...  Fortunately, my VoIP service allows me to program callers to get a disconnected message, guess what number just got added to the list.  :)

I got a call from this number.  The only message was a male saying "Whus'up?"  Then they hung up.

Said they were from the Veterans of Foreign Wars - soliciting donations. We're on the do not call list and they still keep calling. Have not done business with them. Asked to be removed from their list.  Hope they do it.

I get several calls per week and as soon as I answer the phone they hang up.  This is my work phone, and I recieve important phone calls.  I would like this incessive phone calling to quit.  Thank you

I get calls from this number at least 4 times a day.

received several calls the past few days, hang up when i actually answer.  today someone actually replied to my "hello?" and fumbled for a few minutes before asking for someone by my dad's name.  told them that person wasn't here and to take me off the list.  didn't get the name of the organization calling.

PAID SOLICITORS.

Soliciting donations for "Union Gospel Mission" in Seattle.  This is a charity that I do support with monetary donations.  However, I now have a policy of NEVER giving via telephone solicitations.  How much goes to the paid solicitors???

My canned response:  "I never make donations in response to a phone calls, please take my number off of the call list.  I will ask my wife if she's donated lately, and we will donate directly if we are able."

caller ID shows unavailable, no message left

Its a company that can be contracted by different non profits to make calls for them.  The group they are calling for is goign to change from time to time.  They have the right to call no matter if you are on the national do not call or not as non profits were exempt from that.  Answer and ask them to remove you fromt heir database period.

Repeated calls from this number over the last month.  Did not answer.

Calls every day except yesterday, (Easter Sunday) not in the least disappointed..
.....but did call again today. Wheeeeee!!!

Called 4-6-2010 @ 14:36, left no message.  Probably a solicitation of some sort.

This number has been constitently been calling my house for a long time now.  I've been ignoring it because the number on the caller ID has been showing up as "unavailable."  My son answered the phone today and they told him they were with some Law & Business place and wanted to speak with me.  Can someone please stop these guys from calling my home?

i am assuming this is a scam this is not the first they have called here for a janice foster doesnt live here and i dont know the person. they have been told many times they are calling the wrong number and still call anyways i can only guess they are hoping someone will offer them money. as far as the other stuff dont know they hang up when i explain the person doesnt live here.  im the type the last company that kept calling i started calling them back five times for each call i got been almost a year and they dont call back anymore.

I got a call from this number but when I picked it up after 2 rings they hung up. I called 877-236-3945 back and got a message saying it is MDS Marketing and they do tele marketing services for many charitible and political organizations and are therefore not applicable to the do not call list we are on. They said they would take my name off their lists if I request them to do so. I did request that they stop calling me under any and all circumstances. We'll see what happens.

not sure how or why they would ever call our number
we have not used the number for months and just recently got a phone again for it
only three people even have the number so i am a bit curious as to how a nonprofit has a right
to go and get the number from obviously my carrier
unless they just randomly enter number when they are dialing
which is entirely possible i suppose
I have never done any business with them and even if i did i NEVER give out the emergency only number
which is the line they called on today
