- Bali high replies to William J.You think we are all crazy?
- Merry Radtkeon do not call list
- Nogard0I got 8 calls from them in an hour 5/22/2012. No message left. That is harassment.
- just another donation scammer replies to Ridge Rebel| 1 replyyeah, maybe they give a % to the charity they are calling about, but in the end I question if the said charity contacted them 1st . . getting doner list is not that hard to do . . got called on behalf of the republican party, from a guy who was reading a script about how much obama needed to go .. I started asking him a few 'political' questions, he didnt know squat about politics.
didn't even know the proper amounts that could be given to individual candidates . . .. If you want to donate to a political party . .donate directly
to that party. your dollars will be most effective that way - Kim LewisI keep getting this phone calling me and I DO NOT want this. How do I stop it?
- emmie replies to J.OrrThey take nonprofit donor lists and then telemarket the donors. Not necessarily giving any of the funds to the actual charity - just getting credit or debit card information from well meaning donors.
- Irene replies to GLOCKTo Glock-you seem to tjhink a gun is the answer. Must have been a long trip, this company is out of arizona. Just go the website tht is in another posting for MDS and they will take you off the call list. it is a legit company.
And glock, you are full of it. - Fight BackAmericans for Prosperity - aka Koch Brothers. Find out who your state director is and bother them at home every time you get a call. They are paid over $100,000 a year to spread propaganda and lies and promote the billionaire Koch brothers' agenda.
Also - watch the Greenwald Film - Koch Brothers Exposed. It will help you to understand who Americans for Prosperity really are. They are not a "grassroots organization" as they claim.- Caller: Americans for Prosperity

- nice person| 3 repliesI work for mds. Its not a bad company. We do raise funds for many great organizations. The reason you keep getting calls is you are not proactive. Answer the phone. Either tell them you have no intrest or ask to be removed from call list. The way they get youre number is by someone donating or signing a petition in support. It may have been you and you dont remember. They call for non profits which do not fall under the national dnc registry. The reason you keep getting calls is you hang up prior to call or tell them someones not there. They are trying to reach donor. Im a carpenter by trade but economy has me doing this now. No calling is perfect. Ignoring a prob wont make it go away. By the way they are paid a flat fee for calling. Its actually a good company with decent workforce. If you dont agree with the organizations we call for thats ok. There is no need to get hostile to a caller, they are not personally calling for youre money.. lighten up. Have a good day

- Elspeth replies to nice person| 2 repliesThe problem is, people are receiving calls when they have already told them to remove them from their lists. Many companies (like MDS) take most of the money they make for "admin" purposes. So really, if they call, tell them to stop calling and take you off their lists, and donate directly to the charity of your choice. That way you can be sure your charity is getting 100% of your donation. If a solicitation company like this cannot get at least 90% of the donation to the charity, something's wrong.
- nice guy replies to Elspeth| 1 replyIt dosent matter if u give ur gift direct. The charities will still pay mds to do their calling. We are decent people making a living. Non profits are not under the national dnc reg. Mds will put u on the list if you ask(employees suppose to). I know sometimes it dosent happen and it is a performanced based co like most call centers. Just be sure and ask to be put on their dnc list and if they dont the employee will get in trouble. Im not a jerk just trying to bring perspective here. Its the saying dont hate the player-hate the game
- nice nice personThey get paid a flat fee per call no matter the gift. It pays for employee, long distance and all of the mailers too. There are shady calling centers ived worked for them but mds is about as good as they come for ethics.

- Kailua residentanswered call and they hung up
- Anne replies to just another donation scammerMost of the political callers don't know anything about politics. They are just earning money. I have had them call me from both parties and not even be able to pronounce the name of the candidate they were calling for.... How hard is it to say "Would you support this dumbass?"
- Leo B. CastlemannNicole said she was a freshman at the University of Hawaii calling on behalf of the ACA of Hawaii. I asked her what time was it? This looped her... I called back four times without success.
