A so called collection agency. Bogus

collection call for former employee at my place of employment

ID themselves as TACS or Transamerica Consumer Services. Say they are located in Miami. There is a fraud alert out on the name Transamerica.

One of the many names this group (most likely in the Caribbean) uses in their scam calls.  Ignore and block any calls from this number.

Group of scammers pretending to be a debt collection firm. They are phishing for info- BEWARE! They seem to own every 888-423-XXXX phone number and have called my number looking for someone else with a recorded message multiple times. They have definitely been harassing me. They don't even know who they are calling, but they keep calling...

I have received 5 calls from not only this number, but 5 different numbers from this same company. TACS. They want my last 4 of my social and I refuse to give it to them. They won't mail me anything and when I asked for their address, they sent me to an answering machine. SCAM!!!!!!

I got calls from them over the last 2 weeks from 888-423-5940 and 888-423-6064 with a recorded message to call 855-904-7785 which is a non working number. They left a reference number. I blocked all the numbers but they still leave messages. The calls stopped for several days. Today, they called me at work. I was livid and called. They knew the last 4 digits of my social. I asked for an address they told me for security reasons they could not give that info. They claimed to be calling about an unpaid car loan from 2005??????????
