This is from a scamming company called Bodhost. They are based in the UK and US, with an office in California, that is, if they are legitimately based anywhere at all. (
www.bodhost.com) They tried to charge $268.00 to my credit card through my PayPal account. To their credit and my overwhelming gratitude, the PayPal fraud dept. caught it before I did and told me the offender was from Macedonia. Who knows? All I know is, since PayPal won't allow the transaction, they are now making harrassing calls to my cell phone, which, unfortunately, is listed on my PayPal account. I have since unlisted all account numbers from PayPal. (I could cancel the card, but PayPal assured me that the info is not viewable to anyone else.) I have called my cell phone provider and they are sending me a form to fill in and notarize so that they can investigate and I can pursue action. The bodhost website looks legit enough, but that doesn't mean anything. I called the California number listed on the site and nothing...no ring, no busy signal...nothing. Below is info I found on a forums website. You can see, in a reply from Bodhost, how they try to get contact info from the complaining person. You'll get an idea about how they operate. Good luck and let me know if this helps and if you have any suggestions of what to do about it.

The $8 is for cPanel / WHM which we purchase from cPanel.net. The amount is reflected in our billing system also which they directly transact to our account. We charge no extra from our clients what they charge to us. It is also an option and not a mandatory selection. You can purchase the cPanel / WHM license directly from cpanel.net and only opt for the hosting package.
Jodawi i am sure everything has sorted out. This might be a issue on behalf of paypal. However, if yet you have any further issues. Let us know and we will definitely get a solution for the same.
Bodhost co-operates to their customers in all situations and provides them with their every requirements. However, we also have limitation which we have to follow like the charges for the cPanel / WHM.
Perhaps, cajuntech has a lot to say about us. However, we will continue to provide good service and support to our clients.
I apologize, cajuntech, but you were a client of micfo.com and not bodhost.com. Well, in this situation where the discomfort is felt by my friend. We can provide you with one-month grace vps hosting absolutely free and i suppose thereafter you can investigate the difference between the service between Bodhost and micfo.
Just Let me know about it and i will send you the login information for the same. If possible I would also like to know why your website ispgeeks.com has been down from last 3 weeks.
Regards

Posts: 20 To answer your last question first. ISPgeeks is not my site. The site has been operational 24/7 since November 11th and still is working just fine. It is my understanding from the site owner however that you have been banned from the site at the server level, hence your inability to gain access. You musta really ticked the owner off for him to do that, thats all I can say about that. Why don't you send him an email and let him tell you whats up. As for your offer of web services....again...I think you need to talk with the person that caught you. You have his email address.
And your 2nd to last statement....um no....I was not customer of either one of you clowns thank god I was warned in advance. You still have not addressed the MANY issues I rasied previously. Still waiting Shane....

I suppose the clients name is (name removed for legal reasons) who has completely misunderstood the concept. Anyways, if you can chat to us live about it. We can work out a solution here.
Or perhaps, you can provide me with your contact number in order to discuss the issue in detail. Let me know as soon as possible.
Regards

Posts: 20 I can't answer that one way or the other. For two reasons...(1) I don't know and (2) because if I did know there is something called confidentiality. Assuming your information is correct you have probably just opened yourself up to a huge lawsuit but thats not my battle. You do realize that any client you may have hoped to get has just seen that you posted somebody's private information on the internet for some lame not to mention sick reason and there is no way in hell they will trust you with their information. Great job Shane...you have just proven my point entirely. Thank you for so perfectly proving my point that BodHost cannot be trusted with anything. I will forward your post on to those who are keeping track of these things.
