Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received a recorded message from this number saying it was the IRS and they were filing a claim against me.  They gave a number to call back for information.  The IRS does not call you. They send you information thru the postal mail.  This is a SCAM!!  Please do not fall for it!!

Bogus IRS suing you.  Must call number in order to get more information about litigation.

First I got a recorded message saying IRS was filing a law suit against me. Called number back, asked what company they were with and I was told it wasn't a company but a department with IRS and that I had been under paying my taxes for the past 5 years. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was asked why I wanted to speak with a supervisor. I responded because it was a "bunch of crap". The response I got was "it's not crap" and they hung up. The phone caller was female with an Indian accent. I have blocked the number.

I just got the same call. See my message below. I'm sure IRS calls everyone on SATURDAY! What a scam.

Says they are IRS and are suing for money.

Received same scam recorded message, claiming to be the IRS and they were suing.

This caller is calling identifying their self as irs, saying irs has a law suit against you. Totally false

Looks like these 'IRS' scammers are using more than one phone # using different area codes.  I received 2 calls from #215-688-5479 yesterday (Jan. 23) in less than 3 hours (9:30am & 12:15).  Caller ID showed 'Unavailable' but also shows their #.   Recorded message left on answering machine said:  "...Internal Revenue Services......The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you.  To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our dept number 215-688-5479.  I repeat  215-688-5479.   Thank you."
Makes you wonder how many more phone #'s, area codes, they are using.
I've blocked this scammer.

Received two messages from 201 285 5682 numer saying they were IRS and was reporting to me that they were filing lawsuit againt me. Now I know its a scam call, but curiousity got better of me and I tried to call number back twice no answer line busey. Well i have a friend that works for the attorney generals office so ill just give him a call a ask him to  investigate the number and see what he finds out
