Yet another India/Pakistan call center call

Saying they are from a prescription company asking questions about a pain cream I have been prescribed. When I ask which one, they say they don't know yet. They say they are calling on behalf of Blue Cross. I told them to stop calling me. What alarms me is they knew my name. This is a scam.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

I got this call identifying himself as from the prescription management on the circumstances that I used the pain cream. At first I thought from my mail order prescription company and told me my health insurer- Blue Cross Blue Shield. I was thinking that it might also from my insurer trying to audit or offer alternatives. Then start verifying my personal detail such as address and birthday. I was not alert enough to verify my birthday. Then the call transfer to a Medical Assistant to justifying whether there are sufficient reasons to reorder the products. When going through my medical history, I became suspicious that he couldn't grasp the common drug names. Then I asked him to identify which company he represented. Then there was no answer and I hanged up my phone.

Called and said they needed to verify my info before sending me my pain cream. Told them I never ordered such. They could not tell me what dr prescribed it, just that it was from my Blue Cross plan. I did unfortunately verify my birth date, but after I insisted that I had never ordered the cream or needed it, he said he would cancel the order and hung up.  I did not suspect a scam til later, after talking about it with relatives. I am usually not that gullible!

Just received this call several minutes ago, about pain relief cream.  Saying they are on behalf of Medicare.

Keeps calling.  Number's been blocked from 1st day.  What's wrong with our government that they do nothing to stop these annoying thieves?

Said he was from Express RX, had a free sample of topical pain relief cream. Caller had "way too much" information about me. Medical information and address were correct.

He asked for my wife's name. I decided to have some fun. Asked if he is the SOB that's been f***ing her behind my back. He said I didn't have to use that language. I asked who called who? I can use whatever language I want. I kept it going all the while
my wife was sitting in the room with me LHAO.
