Automated message claiming to be the IRS.

Claiming to be IRS. When I asked him who he was trying to reach he gave me someone else's name. When I called him out on not being the IRS he hung up on me

This is a scam number. I mentioned I am on social security and have been for years n I think this is a scam or you selling something...guess what happened next..the guy hung up on me.

Just got a call with a recorded message; Say's they are from the IRS.  Grrrrrr, wish I can get a live voice, will BUST their ass!  What!!!!

Called me twice today saying the same lie, that I'm getting sued by the IRS. On caller ID it comes up as "unassigned"

called and said a cop would be here in 45 min to arrest us.  no pay taxes.  said from Washington, but phone number is from NJ? Idiots

They keep calling me this week.  Poor grammar.  Everyone should know that the IRS will NOT call you.  They send notifications by mail. Hope no one falls for "This is IRS...we sue you"!

Automated voice Claiming to be IRS....

As others have stated, received two calls from this number today (201) 762-1200 with an automated voice saying the IRS is going to sue me in court. It's a clear scam, and I'm reporting it as such, as you should! I have been receiving phone calls from this guy whose name (so he said) was Adam Roy.  He asked me for my case file number and where I was calling from.  I gave him the number for our local police department.  I gave him a bogus name, (I'd never give him mine).  H looked up my name and what do you know, he came up with my case file.  How did he do that?  Anyway, he told be that I owed the IRS $8,900.00 in back taxes.  He wanted my address so he could send the info to me.  Good luck with that.  I have NEVER owed the IRS anything.  Why can't this guy be stopped.  I have his name, his ID number and my so called case file number.  I feel bad for an elderly person who may be taken in by this person.

My Mom got three messages from them. She called them back. Said it was the IRS and  if she paid them $8900.00 that they would drop the lawsuit. He asked if she had it in the bank so  She could bring it to them. She told him she was old & she couldn't come. She ask for his name & told him to put someone on the phone from America because she couldn't understand very good. He called her a B.... and hung up the phone. Glad my mom has been watching the scams on tv.
