I received a phone call from a private # and I was told that I am eligible to receive a once in a lifetime free grant of $7,000 that I do not have to repay and given a # to call along with a grant approval # that is needed to receive funds. When I called I was told that I had to send $200 and within 20 minutes of receiving it $7,213 would be deposited into my account. I told them I did not have the funds at thement and they said they will keep my grants funds on hold til Feb 19, 2016. I do not know if it a scam or not. I received no documents by e-mail verifying the grant is legitimate.

Was it a woman who had responded to you?

Yes it is a scam. Do not send money. If you go on any site that asks you questions for free items, tnat is how they get your info. You should not have to pay for a grant.

i received the same phone call today and im not sure what to do

A person called me 5 minutes ago & said I got a grant for 7000.00 dollars. I believe this a scam.

recieved the same phone call same situation.. they want me to give them 270 to register with the federal reserve bank to recieve the grant lol.. if its a grant why do i have to pay anything.

I just received this same phone call, A foreign lady told me she was with the us government and I had been selected to reveive a free grant of $7000 the phone number she gave me was (202) 600=9815 and she also gave me a grant approval code of G700. I figured it was a scam but when I called the number it just rang and rang then hung up.
