- wreffyddIt's a scam to get you to phone. You can go online and find out there is no procedure for the IRS calling people to warn them they'll be sued. The IRS, after sending many written notices, simply freezes assets and people find they can't get money from an ATM machine. The scammer's job is done when you call because there's a ton of information they can get just from the transmission of the call. Simply do not call and report it to the FTC on its website.
