I let it go to voicemail.  Was "Officer" somebody....had a foreign accent.  Stated that I need to call him back and if I didn't, that all he would be able to say is that the 'situation' will fall back on me.  Geez....I was tempted to call back, just to see what the 'situation' was......

Exaaaact same message as the person above me. Clearly a scammer. Block/disregard.

left 2 voice mails 10am & 12noon stating I need to respond don't ignore this call if I do even your attorney can't help you then.

Same thing, left a voicemail that I needed to call back for an urgent IRS issue. I wanted to see what happened so I did and a man with a foreign accent asked for my social. I said " if you're the IRS you should have it" and he has hcg up I n me.

Clearly a scammer!!!!!!

I'm 89 years old. "Officer John Martin," speaking with an accent so heavy that I could barely understand him, said that I would be taken to jail because I told him he was part of a scam and clearly not an IRS agent and I chose to ignore his call.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

This is a scam. The IRS will never notify you by phone. Check the IRS website. These people are trying to scare you into giving them money or else you will get arrested. The messages left for me sounded like the people were from India. Now they leave you automated voicemails so you will think it is official. I just block them.

Just called me.  Called me last year and I freaked out they got me so scared. Not this time.  I hope they catch these [***].

Got it today and it is machine voice. Block it.

SCAM!!! Said was IRS needed to call back immediately!!! My phone won't let me, it is a scam!!!

Left a message saying it was a matter of national emergency. Location came up as Washington D.C.

Received call from Officer John Martin 202-864-1857 a man with a heavy India accent stating "There was a legal issue notice by the IRS"  and that I needed to call immediately.   I returned the call and it just rang no voice mail

They didn't leave a voivemail. I called them back. Heavy indian accent said irs. Isaid I you worked for the irs youd be eclexpected to speak better english.

Received 2 calls said I owed the IRS money
