Just received the same call and the automated voicemail from the "IRS". Called the number back to see what bozo would answer and received an automated message that the number wasn't available.  I immediately went to IRS website and was directed to tigta.gov to report a fraud phone call claim.

I did call back and they gave a very old address. I told the Indian guy I was calling my lawyer and he said he was going to transfer me to the supervisor. The supervisor also sounded Indian... He told me to go to the bank and I told him it was closed lol Then he asked me to go to "the Walmart" and he asked for my current zip code... I told him I was gonna call back and he told me I couldn't hang up. After yhat he was like I can't hear you I'm calling you right away... And he did... Afterwards I found out the second number was a real IRS 18008291040. Be on the look out.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

The caller(a lady) left a message "calling from Internal Revenue Service with "final notice" that IRS was filing suit against me and for me to call the number immediately for more information on the account".
The same type of calls I got in January of last year as well (tax return period).  People they call with different accent (as if there is a large number of employees contacting on behalf of IRS).
Just ignore these call and, if ever you are able to take any, say whatever you want to..........f$$k..etc.  etc..

I called back and asked to talk to the lady robot that called me.. And asked "is she as hot as she sounds on the phone?"....he tried to change the subject, and so did I....i asked if he was saved... And started reading bible verses until he hung up..... Pretty sure I'm on the " don't call this smart ass" list now...

Don't be so sure. Calling back is always a bad idea. You said yourself it was a robot (computer) that called you. That means your number was dialed automatically, more or less at random. By calling back for whatever reason, you confirm your number as "live" and therefore eminently scammable. I doubt the scabby scammer you spoke with took the time or trouble to reprogram the autodialer to avoid your number. This time it was the IRS; next time it could be a [fake] payday loan you defaulted on in 2009. The best action in most of these cases is no action at all. Good luck.
